United Supermarket Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Takemi Ide; hereinafter U.S.M.H) welcomed a total of 250 new employees from its four group companies and participated for the first time in the "2026 Spring Aeon Welcome Gathering for New Employees," Japan's largest entrance ceremony, held on Wednesday, April 1st, in Makuhari Messe, Chiba Prefecture.
This marks the first time since the establishment of U.S.M.H that new employees from the four U.S.M.H Group companies gathered together to participate jointly in an entrance ceremony attended by approximately 3,400 people from 59 Aeon Group companies.
Furthermore, a joint orientation for the Aeon Group was held for two days from April 2nd to 3rd. After a message from President Ide to the new employees, U.S.M.H Group new employees learned about "basics as a working professional," "management based on respect for human dignity," and "company values." This created opportunities for connections beyond the boundaries of Aeon Group companies and fostered a sense of unity as同期入社 (employees who joined at the same time).
At the "2026 Spring Aeon Welcome Gathering for New Employees" held on Wednesday, April 1st, welcome messages were given to the new employees by Aeon Co., Ltd. Chairman Motoya Okada and President Akio Yoshida. The event also touched upon Aeon's "common values" and "broad business fields," deepening understanding of Aeon's basic philosophy and future vision, which serve as the starting point for all business activities and guidelines for actions and thoughts within the group. It became a place to cultivate their own "aspirations," such as "I want to create this kind of life" and "I want to create this kind of future."
At the joint orientation on Thursday, April 2nd, U.S.M.H President Ide gave words of expectation to the new employees, saying, "I want you to have confidence in yourselves and look forward to your future. Live with hope and dreams. And think about what you can do for society and people, master your strengths, and achieve things one by one with hope, growing to open up new paths. I want you to deepen your learning and translate it into action."
U.S.M.H will continue to promote integrated management by placing Aeon's management philosophy at its core, considering the connections between the philosophies and visions of U.S.M.H and each operating company, and integrating values and aspirations.
