(Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President: Masaharu Honma) and Kasumi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tsukuba-shi, Ibaraki; President: Fumitaka Orimoto), have been certified as 'Excellent Corporations for Food Education Practice 2026' by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, a program that honors companies for their food education initiatives for employees.

About the 'Excellent Corporation for Food Education Practice Commendation System' With the dietary habits of adults becoming a concern—highlighted by increased reliance on eating out, a preference for convenience, and reduced intake of vegetables and fruits among young people—there is a growing need to promote 'food education for adults,' including the younger generation who will lead society in the future. The 'Excellent Corporation for Food Education Practice Commendation System' was established in July 2025 to commend companies that implement and evaluate initiatives to improve the dietary lives of their employees, such as providing healthy meals. The goal is to enhance vitality within companies and to spread best practices.

Maruetsu and Kasumi aim to become pillars supporting the food and health of their communities by encouraging employees themselves to adopt good eating and exercise habits for their own physical and mental well-being. They have been promoting the establishment of exercise habits through the use of the health portal site 'PepUp,' holding health-related seminars for employees, and providing specific health guidance by registered dietitians for eligible individuals.
