Kasumi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, President: Fumitaka Orimoto) announced that its product, "4-Dashi Umami Spreading! Domestic Mune Shio Karaage," received a Gold Prize in the East Japan Supermarket Delicatessen category at the "17th Karaage Grand Prix®," organized by the Japan Karaage Association.

The award was announced on Friday, April 10, 2026.

"4-Dashi Umami Spreading! Domestic Mune Shio Karaage" is a product developed over time, from raw material selection to blending. Since its new launch in March 2026, it has been well-received by customers, with comments such as "It's moist and delicious even though it's chicken breast!" and "It's light, so I end up eating too much," and "Since it doesn't contain garlic, I can safely put it in my bento box."

This product is available at all Kasumi stores (excluding some locations).

Kasumi will continue to strive to develop products that truly delight customers and enrich the lives of local communities.

Product Features: It offers a perfect harmony of crispy coating and juicy chicken. The subtle saltiness brings out the umami of the lean chicken breast, with the aroma of Japanese dashi and ginger subtly spreading. The product balances a satisfying texture with a refined taste.

Keyこだわり (Commitment): The dashi uses four types: grilled bonito from Yaizu, dried bonito, mackerel, and flying fish, enhancing its aroma and umami. Additionally, Ibaraki's local sake "Hitorimusume" is used. The manufacturing process is meticulously crafted, including a three-stage pre-marination and a coating that locks in the flavor.
