Universal Studios Japan aims for 'Zero Heatstroke' again this summer, evolving its extreme heat countermeasures through the power of entertainment to ensure guests can enjoy a safe and secure experience, with efforts even stronger than last year's.

To deliver a comfortable experience full of smiles all day long during the expected extreme summer heat, the start time for the 25th-anniversary parade 'NO LIMIT! Parade ~Discover U!!! Version~' will be moved to the evening. Special 25th-anniversary programs featuring increased 'soaking wet' levels for the popular attractions 'WaterWorld' and 'Jurassic Park - The Ride' will also debut. Additionally, 'Cool Splash Time,' which was highly popular last year for soaking guests with massive amounts of water pouring from above, will be held again. As the heat eases into the 'night,' the new 'night festival'-themed event 'Universal Summer Matsuri Night ~Neon Grow Up~' will take place, offering exhilarating fun perfect for cooler hours [Period: Wednesday, July 1 - Wednesday, August 26, 2026].

For heatstroke prevention, the 'Cool Green Street' will debut, an evolved tree-lined avenue featuring added mist where guests can rest in the shade of zelkova trees. Furthermore, new relaxation areas under the lush zelkova shade will be created within the park to deliver a comfortable summer where guests can spend their time smiling. We will also implement various initiatives, such as actions by crew members to bring smiles to guests and enhanced heatstroke countermeasures for the crew.

Implementing various heat countermeasures again this year, aiming for 'Zero Heatstroke' promoted by the Japan Weather Association

Last year, Universal Studios Japan implemented various heat countermeasures, including having facilities where guests can escape the heat certified as official Cool Spots for the 'Zero Heatstroke' project promoted by the Japan Weather Association.

Considering the mandatory implementation of occupational heatstroke countermeasures due to the enforcement of the revised Industrial Safety and Health Ordinance last June, a 'Heatstroke Prevention' seminar was held with the cooperation of the Japan Weather Association. Experts provided opportunities for participating guests and the 'Oasis Squad,' who care for crew members working outdoors, to learn enjoyably about heat acclimatization and heat countermeasures. This year, we are again seriously committing to 'Zero Heatstroke' and implementing various heat countermeasures. Meteorologist Tomoko Kubo of the Japan Weather Association commented on these efforts.

■ Comment from Tomoko Kubo, Meteorologist, Japan Weather Association

'With severe heat expected again this summer, new initiatives held outside of peak hot hours, such as the "NO LIMIT! Parade ~Discover U!!! Version~" and "Universal Summer Matsuri Night ~Neon Grow Up~," will lead to effective heatstroke prevention. Additionally, measures to keep the body cool have been strengthened, such as adding mist to the tree-lined "Green Street," which are activities contributing to "Zero Heatstroke." Please take adequate precautions against heatstroke, such as frequently replenishing fluids and salt tablets and resting in cool places, and enjoy the unique summer programs inside the park.'
