Awaji Highway Oasis to Hold Its First Seasonal Event, “Oasis Early Summer Festival”

Awaji Highway Oasis, located at the gateway to Awaji Island and known for restaurants where visitors can enjoy seasonal ingredients while viewing the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, as well as shopping for local specialties, will hold its first seasonal event, “Oasis Early Summer Festival,” on Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will take place at the event plaza in front of the Oasis building and inside the building. At the outdoor plaza, the “Go! Anpanman” show will be held twice, at 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., with free admission. Dance performances by Awaji ALOHA Studio, cheer dance group “HULAWERS,” and D-NEXTWAY are also scheduled, along with food trucks and booths offering one-hand pizza and Japanese sweets by Kajitaya. A festival game area, including super ball scooping, will also be available. Inside the building, visitors can take part in a questionnaire and lottery for a chance to win Awaji Island specialty products, limited to the first 300 participants. The official Oasis mascot, “Awaji Tamako-san,” will appear for greetings at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. The organizer notes that event details may be changed or canceled without prior notice. Awaji Highway Oasis is located within Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park and combines restaurants, local specialty shopping, rest areas, and leisure facilities, making it a destination where visitors can spend the whole day.
