UPDATER, Inc. (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Eiji Oishi; hereinafter "UPDATER"), which aims to solve social issues through business, will provide 100% renewable energy*1 to the sales offices of DyDo Asahi Vending, Inc. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Akio Terauchi; hereinafter "DyDo Asahi Vending"), a subsidiary of DyDo DRINCO, Inc. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Takanori Nakajima), through its "Minden Denryoku" service. This is part of the "Everyone's LOVE the EARTH PROJECT," which DyDo DRINCO is deploying as an environmental initiative for its domestic beverage business.
*1 We supply 100% renewable energy by combining electricity derived from renewable energy sources with the environmental value of non-fossil fuel certificates designated for renewable energy (resulting in zero CO2 emissions).
What is the "Everyone's LOVE the EARTH PROJECT"?
DyDo DRINCO has identified "contribution to a decarbonized and recycling-oriented society" as one of its materialities and has set key goals in the environmental field. To promote and advance efforts toward achieving these goals, the company launched the "Everyone's LOVE the EARTH PROJECT" (hereinafter "the Project") in March 2021.
Through this project, the company is collaborating with various stakeholders to promote initiatives aimed at realizing a decarbonized and recycling-oriented society. To date, it has implemented business operations aimed at reducing environmental impact in stages, such as introducing hybrid trucks and fuel cell (FC) trucks—which achieve zero CO2 emissions while driving—for route staff responsible for vending machine replenishment and environmental maintenance.

Collaboration with Minden Denryoku
DyDo Asahi Vending will sequentially switch 50 of its 96 sales offices nationwide to 100% renewable energy provided by Minden Denryoku (UPDATER). This is expected to reduce CO2 emissions associated with electricity usage at each sales office of DyDo Asahi Vending, which operates approximately 50% of all DyDo DRINCO vending machines nationwide, and is considered a contribution to the realization of carbon neutrality in the domestic beverage business, a goal set for 2030.
Using proprietary blockchain technology, Minden Denryoku allows users to specify the source of their electricity from over 1,100 power plants. This enables each sales office to practice "local production for local consumption" of electricity by sourcing energy from power plants within the same area whenever possible. Furthermore, by specifying a power plant, a system called "Contract Premium" pays 0.3 yen/kWh to the power plant, creating a mechanism where a portion of the electricity bill is returned to the generator*2.
Since its founding, DyDo DRINCO has valued the philosophy of "coexistence and mutual prosperity with local communities." The company resonated with this system and stance, leading to the selection of Minden Denryoku for the renewable energy transition of its sales offices.
*2 When corporate customers purchase electricity by specifying a power plant, they pay a "Contract Premium" in addition to the purchase unit price to the specified power generator, based on the amount of power generated linked to the customer's electricity usage. Note that the customer's electricity bill does not increase or decrease based on whether or not a power plant is specified.
<Overview> Implementation period: Sequentially from late February 2026 Target locations: 50 DyDo Asahi Vending sales offices*3 Content: Switching to 100% renewable energy "local production for local consumption" power sources via "Minden Denryoku"*4 Effect: Reduction of Scope 2*5 emissions in the domestic beverage business of DyDo DRINCO and DyDo Asahi Vending by approximately 900 t-CO2*6 (compared to fiscal year 2024)
*3 Operates approximately 50% of all DyDo DRINCO vending machines nationwide. *4 In some cases, the power source may not be locally produced/consumed. *5 CO2 emissions derived from electricity used by each business site and sales office. *6 Calculated based on usage records from April 2024 to March 2025.

What is "Minden Denryoku," which provides electricity with a "visible face"?
Minden Denryoku provides "100% renewable energy with a visible face." As one of only three companies in Japan certified as a CDP-accredited renewable energy provider, it supplies renewable energy that complies with international standards.
It procures electricity from over 1,100 renewable energy power plants nationwide and visualizes the story of each plant on its website. It procures renewable energy from 44 prefectures and utilizes a wide variety of power sources (solar & solar sharing, wind, geothermal, biomass, and hydro). Additionally, it has established a unique power procurement policy* and procures electricity from generators who understand the company's policy, ensuring that development activities leading to environmental destruction, such as large-scale deforestation, are not conducted, and that consensus has been reached with local residents.
Furthermore, its 100% renewable energy plan for corporations, which complies with RE100 standards, offers an electricity tracking service that allows customers to understand the origin (traceability) of the electricity they use in 30-minute increments. This service was launched in 2018 and is currently used by over 600 renewable energy power plants and over 4,000 demand facilities, helping them meet requirements for RE100, CDP, and more.
