On March 17, 2026, the "Driver Workplace Environment Goodness Certification System" was explained at the "Job Hunting Basic Knowledge Seminar" held at Hello Work Nagoya Minami. During the seminar, it was introduced that businesses displaying the certification mark are "certified as workplaces where one can work with peace of mind." Explanations were provided on the initiatives taken by certified businesses to improve their workplace environments and how the mark is granted after a review by a third-party organization, deepening job seekers' understanding of the certification system. This seminar has been regularly held since December 2022, through the cooperation of Hello Work Nagoya Minami, the Chubu District Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Aichi Transport Branch Office, and the Driver Workplace Environment Goodness Certification System Secretariat. It provides explanations for job seekers interested in driver positions on how to identify companies that adhere to working hours, how to find companies where drivers can work comfortably, key points for choosing a workplace where one can work safely and for a long time, and recent trends in the transportation industry. The seminar was held to full capacity, with 22 job seekers participating. Participants provided feedback such as, "It was very informative to learn about the existence of the certification and the current state of the industry," "It was very helpful for my future job hunting activities," and "I learned that there are various types of driver jobs and want to consider them. I'm glad I attended the seminar." Moving forward, we will strengthen our publicity activities to raise awareness of the system and more widely communicate the initiatives undertaken by transportation businesses to create driver-friendly workplaces, as well as the significance of reviews by third-party organizations.

<About the "Driver Workplace Environment Goodness Certification System"> Its official name is the Driver Workplace Environment Goodness Certification System. It is a system established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to "visualize" the "ease of working" for truck, bus, and taxi drivers with a certification mark. Its purpose is to promote employment for job seekers as drivers and to support the efforts of transportation businesses to secure human resources. Companies bearing this mark undertake various initiatives to improve drivers' working conditions and environment, and are certified after a review of these contents by a designated certification body. It aims to create better workplace environments for each individual worker, including proactive recruitment of female drivers, increasing the number of annual holidays, shortening overtime hours, and initiatives to protect mental and physical health, serving as a guide for choosing a workplace. The Japan Maritime Association, a general incorporated foundation, acts as a "designated certification body" by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, carrying out the examination and certification operations and public relations activities for this system.
