Vacant House Entrepreneurship Workshop to Be Held! Free Event for Those Dreaming of Running a Shop – Learn How to Launch a Business Using Vacant Properties in Unnan City’s Kinomichi Area

Unnan City and the Kinomichi Area Platform 'Furatto Kinoki' Organizing Committee (lead organization: Tasuki Co., Ltd.) will host a vacant house entrepreneurship workshop in three sessions on July 12, July 26, and August 9, 2026. This event is designed for individuals considering launching a business or new venture by utilizing vacant houses or storefronts. Through this workshop, we aim to foster new community formation, promote interaction, and revitalize the local streetscape.

Background of the Event

Since 2005, local autonomous groups have been actively engaged in community development. From 2019, initiatives such as the 'Sanshintou Vacant House Revitalization Project Meeting' have generated numerous ideas and discussions around urban renewal and vacant property utilization in the Kinoki area.

By collaborating with residents and workers in the region, we are establishing an area platform that goes beyond idea generation—actively pursuing implementation methods, funding strategies, and policy responses to advance community development.
