GUN (Takanori Iwata) to Release New Single "Who's Next / RISE NOW" on July 1 (Wed)!

Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Hisashi Fujikura / hereinafter Universal Music) will release GUN (Takanori Iwata)'s single "Who's Next / RISE NOW" on July 1 (Wed).

GUN (Takanori Iwata), a member of Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS and an active solo artist. This is his first single of 2026 and is a W-A-SIDE-SINGLE, released in 5 different formats.

The Limited Edition: MV & JACKET MAKING Edition (CD+DVD) includes making-of footage for the music video of the new song "RISE NOW" and the artwork shooting. The Limited Edition: LIVE VIDEO Edition (CD+DVD) includes several songs from the "Takanori Iwata ASIA TOUR 2025-2026 \"SPACE COWBOY\"" performance at Ariake Arena on December 21 (Sun), with commentary by Takanori Iwata himself, as well as making-of footage from music events he is scheduled to appear in this year, offering a glimpse into his new challenges in his solo activities. The release includes 15 types of trading cards with newly shot photos, enclosed separately for each edition. All CD editions (first press only) will include a flyer with a serial number for an application lottery.

To commemorate the release of this work, panel exhibitions will be held at Tower Records (19 stores nationwide), HMV&BOOKS SHIBUYA, and SHIBUYA TSUTAYA. A digital campaign will also be held on LINE MUSIC. Those who play "RISE NOW" 1,000 times or more by July 31 (Fri) 23:59 will be entered into a lottery to win one of 10 invitations to a "Special Talk Show (Tokyo or Osaka)". All applicants who play the song 300 times or more and apply will receive an "Unreleased Image with Message", and the top 10 listeners will receive an "Unreleased Selca Cheki".
