Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naoshi Fujikura) will release Novelbright's fourth album, "PYRAMID," and the live video production, "Novelbright ARENA TOUR 2025 ~Winding Road~ at Kobe World Memorial Hall," on Wednesday, April 1st.
Novelbright is a 5-piece rock band from Osaka. This work is their first in about two years since "CIRCUS" released in April 2024, and their fourth major album overall. The title "PYRAMID" implies something that is "loved worldwide throughout the ages, in a way no one could predict," and also carries a sense of wonder, as in "who could have built such a thing."
The album will be released in three formats: a Limited Edition (CD+DVD), a Regular Edition (CD only), and a fan club exclusive NOVELCITY Edition (CD+DVD). It features a total of 13 tracks, including 6 previously released songs such as "Everywhere I Go," a collaboration with Korean artist Eric Nam; "Ivy," written to celebrate the marriage of Michopa and Shimon Okura; "Winding Road," the theme song for the drama "Hotei no Dragon" starring Mone Kamishiraishi; "Canopus," a song based on vocalist Yudai Takenaka's personal experiences; "Call me," used as the theme for the KOBELCO 120th anniversary animation "Ashita no Arika"; and their latest song "Anemone," plus 7 new recordings.
The new song "Caravan" is a Novelbright-style cheer song that depicts the frustration, loneliness, disappointment, and resilience that everyone experiences on the journey (stage) of life. The music video portrays the five members gathering from their respective locations to finally make music together, creating a visual that expresses the song's worldview.
The Limited Edition and NOVELCITY Edition (FC Edition) will include the bonus video "Road To PYRAMID ~It got pretty intense when we traveled as five, you know?~". This video captures the five members on a trip to a certain place to commemorate the album's release, where they passionately discuss their commitment to the band. Additionally, the first-ever NOVELCITY Edition features packaging that allows you to assemble a 3D PYRAMID depicted on the regular edition's jacket.
A live video work capturing the final Kobe performance of Novelbright's first-ever arena tour will also be released on the same day (4/1). It completely records the August 17, 2025, performance at Kobe World Memorial Hall, the tour final for the sold-out "Novelbright ARENA TOUR 2025 ~Winding Road~". In addition to the main footage, it includes the behind-the-scenes bonus video "Behind the scenes of Winding Road tour."
