AS2OV Launches Its First School Backpack (Randoseru)

Pre-orders for the 2027 school year enrollment model are now officially open. Co-created with manufacturers in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture—Japan's holy ground for bag making—this next-generation backpack blends history and functionality, designed to make children want to use it every day for six years.

As the market shifts from traditional genuine leather to nylon materials and rucksack styles, the brand pursued a backpack that honors history while being more functional and a source of pride for children. The durability and aesthetic cultivated in adult bags have been adapted into a trusty companion tailored for six years of a child's school life.

The main body uses the brand's synonymous "CORDURA Ballistic®" nylon, which has a proven track record in adult bags. It achieves a texture befitting a special gift while maintaining overwhelming durability and lightness that can withstand six years of rigorous use.

Functional beauty optimized for modern commuting

The German-made "FIDLOCK" magnetic buckle allows for easy one-handed opening and closing. Additionally, a movable "Sekan" (back joint) equipped with a spring fits the shoulder straps seamlessly to the body, enhancing carrying comfort.

By placing a dedicated iPad case pocket on the front, ample capacity is secured in the main compartment, easily accommodating textbooks and other essentials.

The back cushion utilizes 20mm thick memory foam urethane. CORDURA is also used for the mesh material, increasing friction resistance while ensuring a comfortable fit on the back.
