GronG Renews Dietary Fiber "Inulin" as a Food with Function Claims

Ultimate Life Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Higashinari-ku, Osaka City, President and CEO: Yuki Tanaka), which sells supplements and training equipment, has renewed the packaging of the dietary fiber supplement "Inulin Powder" sold under the GronG brand, in conjunction with its notification as a Food with Function Claims.

Dietary fiber is a food component that is not digested in the small intestine but utilized in the large intestine. It is primarily involved in intestinal health by increasing stool volume for those concerned about bowel movements and serving as food for intestinal bacteria such as good bacteria. Furthermore, its relationship with postprandial blood glucose levels has been recognized, making it an essential component for health maintenance.

On the other hand, there is a chronic shortage of dietary fiber in Japan. According to the "Dietary Reference Intakes for Japanese (2025)," adults and the elderly "should consume at least 25g of dietary fiber per day." However, according to the "National Health and Nutrition Survey (Reiwa 6)," men aged 20 and over currently consume only 17.6 to 20.6g, and women only 15.2 to 18.8g.
