UiPath Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Koichi Hasegawa, hereinafter "UiPath"), a leader in agentic business automation, announced today that it has collaborated with Microsoft to develop new security automation capabilities. With this new feature, enterprises can significantly accelerate security operations associated with the introduction of automation into business workflows. This solution automates threat detection, data enrichment, and response workflows across Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and integrated Microsoft threat intelligence.

By combining UiPath's enterprise automation platform with Microsoft's security suite, security detections are enriched with business context, allowing enterprise Security Operations Centers (SOCs) to keep pace with business changes. This improves the efficiency and productivity of security operations and risk mitigation, reduces Mean Time To Resolve (MTTR), and minimizes the impact on operations and processes. Designed for enterprise-scale use, the solution is designed to work seamlessly with the Microsoft security ecosystem. Available through the UiPath Solutions Marketplace, the solution allows organizations to easily discover, deploy, and operate UiPath-powered security automation as part of their existing Microsoft security investments.

Ken Natsume, Director of Product Marketing at UiPath Inc., said:
"This collaboration brings security automation closer to the actual frontlines of business. By combining UiPath's automation capabilities with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Security Copilot, enterprises can embed security controls into their business processes. This provides the peace of mind needed to deploy automation across the organization, giving them confidence that the data and information supporting their most critical workflows are compliant, secure, and non-disruptive."

Ruthy Kaidar, Managing Director, Solutions Software Business, Microsoft EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), said:
"The collaboration between UiPath and Microsoft brings together automation with built-in security and governance, delivering signal enrichment with business context, enhanced human-in-the-loop decision-making, and accelerated detection and response. This enables enterprises to deploy agentic automation with confidence."

Files and signals generated from automated business workflows are automatically scanned using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, enriched with business context, and forwarded to Microsoft Sentinel for investigation. For the forwarded artifacts and data, security analysts can leverage Microsoft Security Copilot to conduct guided human-in-the-loop analysis. Meanwhile, UiPath's automation capabilities seamlessly execute actions such as file quarantine, workflow suspension, and incident escalation.
