UCC Japan Co., Ltd. announced today that it has provided a program on the theme of realizing a hydrogen society to "PIVOT," a business video media on YouTube with over 3.9 million subscribers. The video was distributed today.

The UCC Group, with its purpose of "Unlocking the power of coffee for a better world," is pursuing new possibilities for coffee and challenging the creation of unprecedented coffee value. As part of its efforts to achieve "carbon neutrality by 2040" under the UCC Sustainability Policy, the company focused on the "roasting" process, which is essential for delivering delicious coffee to customers and brings out unique coffee flavors like acidity and bitterness by roasting green beans. UCC challenged itself to hydrogen roasting. Last April, UCC became the first in the world to begin mass production of "hydrogen-roasted coffee" using the large-scale hydrogen roasting machine "HydroMaster."

Since then, UCC has achieved collaboration and co-creation through hydrogen-roasted coffee with two companies working towards realizing a hydrogen society. One company is the automobile manufacturer Toyota Motor Corporation. Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Crown, they jointly developed original hydrogen-roasted coffee inspired by the four models of the 16th generation Crown, which has been offered and sold sequentially at Crown specialty stores since October 7, 2025.

The other company is Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd., a major convenience store chain. They jointly developed "Seven Cafe Hydrogen Roasted Coffee," which was released sequentially at Seven-Eleven stores nationwide starting October 28, 2025. From April of this year, Seven Cafe Hydrogen Roasted Iced Coffee was also added and is currently on sale. These initiatives have become widely known through media and social media as examples that allow consumers to feel closer to a hydrogen society.

Amidst this, UCC has provided a program titled "UCC Japan x Seven-Eleven x Toyota Collaboration: The Forefront of Hydrogen Business" on the YouTube channel "PIVOT" as a new step towards realizing a hydrogen society, and we are pleased to announce that the video was distributed today.
