Uber Assist, a wheelchair-accessible taxi dispatch service, expands nationwide to all 47 prefectures and starts collaboration with ANA's 'MoVA' at Haneda Airport

Uber Japan Inc. (hereinafter referred to as 'Uber Japan') will expand the service area of 'Uber Assist (Uber Assist),' a service that allows you to dispatch taxi vehicles that can be boarded as is with a wheelchair, from the previous Tokyo 23 wards, Musashino City, and Mitaka City to all 47 prefectures nationwide from June 17, 2026 (Wednesday).

Furthermore, starting from June 15, 2026 (Monday), we will start collaboration with the new mobility rental service 'MoVA' that ANA Holdings Inc. (hereinafter referred to as 'ANAHD') will provide at Haneda Airport. From today, among those who reserve and use the MoVA rental service lent at Haneda Airport, we will present a discount coupon that can be used for riding Uber Assist by lottery.

Uber Assist is a dispatch service for customers with diverse mobility needs, such as those who use wheelchairs, the elderly, and families who use strollers. Through this nationwide expansion and collaboration with ANA MoVA, customers can move smoothly from air travel to ground travel without having to fold their wheelchairs or strollers.

Under the common vision of 'a world where everyone can move freely without barriers,' ANAHD and Uber will promote the creation of an environment where everyone can move safely.

■ Main features of Uber Assist

Intuitive app operation (no reservation required): You can use it on-demand anytime with simple operations, just by selecting 'Wheelchair Taxi' on the vehicle selection screen after specifying your destination in the Uber app.

Dedicated vehicles and support by trained drivers: We will pick you up with a universal design taxi (Toyota 'JPN TAXI') equipped with a slope that allows you to board and alight in your wheelchair. Drivers have completed 'Universal Driver Training' and will safely and smoothly support you after arrival, such as assisting with boarding and alighting (Note: This is not a welfare transportation vehicle).

Fare based on meter fare: The fare is based on the meter fare of a regular taxi, but depending on the taxi company, a vehicle designation fee (varies by taxi company) may be charged.

Senior-friendly features and proxy dispatch: By utilizing the 'Simple Mode' with improved visibility, even senior citizens can operate it easily. Additionally, by linking accounts with the 'Uber Senior' function, family members living far away can dispatch on behalf of elderly family members and check their current location in real-time.

■ Service collaboration with MoVA

Uber Assist will collaborate with the mobility rental service 'MoVA' that ANAHD will start providing at Haneda Airport from June 15 (Monday). This will be the third domestic example following Kansai International Airport and Narita Airport where MoVA can be used.

What is MoVA: A convenient service that allows you to rent mobility such as wheelchairs and strollers as they are from the airport to your destination.

Smooth dispatch from dedicated spaces: You can board a taxi vehicle dispatched by Uber Assist from the 'spaces for the disabled' set up in each terminal at Haneda Airport.

Seamless transfer without folding: Customers can seamlessly transfer to Uber's taxi vehicle without folding the wheelchair or stroller borrowed at the airport, realizing comfortable and safe travel to their destination.

■ Overview of 'ANA MoVA Start Memorial Campaign'

Among those who reserve and use the MoVA rental service lent at Haneda Airport during the campaign period, we will present a 1,000 yen discount coupon that can be used for riding Uber Assist by lottery.

Campaign content: 1,000 yen OFF from Uber Assist usage fee (5 people per round, total 15 people)
