U-GAKU to hold English Camp in Summer 2026 / Targeting elementary and junior high school students at 5 locations nationwide and overseas, with new facilities in Osaka and Wakayama in the Kansai area

U-GAKU (Yu-Gaku), a study abroad program operated by Crepity Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Katsuyuki Ikumo; hereinafter "Crepity"), will hold its residential English program "U-GAKU English Camp" for elementary and junior high school students at five locations both domestically and internationally during the 2026 summer vacation period. For this summer session, two new locations will be opened in Osaka and Wakayama in the Kansai area, expanding the system to be even more accessible. This program goes beyond simply "learning" English by providing experiences of "using" English through communal living with foreign instructors and local activities. It aims to deepen confidence in English and foster self-reliance through daily habits, nurturing a "sense of self-efficacy."

〇 What is U-GAKU English Camp?

U-GAKU English Camp is a residential program that fosters both English proficiency and self-reliance. Through communal living with foreign instructors and multinational staff, children are provided with an environment where they can experience English as a tool to "use" rather than just a subject to "learn." Japanese bilingual staff are always present, ensuring support for meals and daily life, making it safe for elementary and junior high school students regardless of their English ability or whether they are first-time participants.

U-GAKU's mission is "To know your true self and live the life you want." The English Camp serves as a practical setting for this mission, aiming not only for English learning but also for fostering independence through living away from parents and cultivating an international perspective through interaction with peers holding diverse values.

In the Summer 2025 camps, a total of 55 elementary and junior high school students participated at three locations: Tokushima, Nagano, and Cebu Island, receiving numerous comments such as "English felt closer" and "My desire to challenge myself overseas increased."

〇 About the Establishment of New Locations

In response to recent changes in the Middle East and international affairs, a certain number of parents have expressed anxiety about overseas study. Given this situation, U-GAKU has been working to expand opportunities for English immersion experiences domestically.

In Summer 2026, while leveraging the operational know-how gained from the successful Tokushima location, two new locations will be opened in Osaka and Wakayama in the Kansai area. By combining easy access from urban areas with experiences that utilize the natural environment, U-GAKU is creating an even more accessible environment for many families.

The Osaka location will offer a group living program leveraging its convenient location, while the Wakayama location will provide an experiential program amidst the sea and nature, developing each as a distinct camp with different characteristics.

An experiential program combining activities and English learning will be conducted in a natural environment surrounded by the sea.

The overseas location in Cebu Island offers a program to enhance practical skills in a complete English environment. Mornings focus on English lessons, mainly one-on-one with native instructors, while afternoons include experiences such as local interaction at Carbon Market and marine activities, allowing direct engagement with Filipino culture and hospitality. It provides an opportunity to improve English proficiency and broaden global perspectives simultaneously.
