Crepity Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo; Representative Director: Katsuyuki Ikumo; hereinafter 'Crepity') is pleased to announce that its study abroad program, 'U-GAKU,' has surpassed 1,000 cumulative users across its domestic and international programs.

Background of Reaching 1,000 Cumulative Participants U-GAKU was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when approximately 98% of overseas study opportunities were lost. In response to students saying, 'I wanted to study abroad but couldn't,' we launched the business with the goal of restoring the study abroad experience by developing direct-managed locations both in Japan and overseas where students could experience different cultures.

While our initial primary objective was to 'reclaim lost study abroad opportunities,' repeated consultations revealed that the participants' essential needs went beyond mere language acquisition; they were driven by a desire to 'change themselves' and 'live a better life.' By consistently addressing these aspirations, we have reached the significant milestone of 1,000 cumulative participants.

In particular, learning opportunities that combine domestic and international study are spreading as a new form of experience, moving away from the traditional 'once-in-a-lifetime' study abroad model toward a multi-stage, recurring experience.

U-GAKU will continue to provide cross-border learning opportunities to meet diverse needs. We will also continue to design flexible programs tailored to the goals and circumstances of our participants, creating an environment where more people can take on new challenges.

About U-GAKU Overview With the mission of 'Knowing your true self and living the life you want to live,' U-GAKU provides two types of lessons: 'U-ENGLISH LESSON' and 'U-LIFE LESSON.' We are committed to maximizing results through our programs, supporting not only the improvement of English proficiency but also English learning and future goal setting. We provide a place for encounters and exchanges with diverse peers of various ages and nationalities, and support the challenge of steering one's life toward the path one truly desires.

U-GAKU's Commitment To thoroughly address the latent needs of participants who 'want to change something in their current life,' U-GAKU operates its own study abroad programs—a rarity in an industry dominated by agencies—to take responsibility for providing opportunities for change not only before but also during the study abroad period.

By interacting directly with participants, we enable programs tailored to each individual and respond to changes in their needs and values during their stay. We create an environment and programs where participants can express their inner voices—things they might find too embarrassing or difficult to share with those close to them. By providing opportunities for participants to face their own hearts and express those thoughts externally, we help them feel lighter and provide a catalyst for moving forward in life. We hope that through these opportunities, participants will experience shifts in their values and changes in how they view the world, serving as a step forward in their lives.
