TXOne Networks, an operations-first OT security partner, delivers reliable, agentless inspection for OT environments where physical inspection deployment is challenging, advancing its "Discover. Assess. Protect." framework.

TAIPEI, Taiwan – June 30, 2026 – TXOne Networks (TXOne) today announced the Virtual Portable Inspector (vPI), a new software offering joining its Element inspection portfolio. vPI is designed to enable OT inspection in environments where physical inspection is difficult to deploy widely, such as geographically dispersed sites, assets where USB ports or HMIs are not easily accessible, or facilities where on-site inspection is overly burdensome.

As industrial organizations expand their operations and grow their footprint, traditional on-site inspections are increasingly insufficient. There is a growing need for practical means to verify device integrity, gather asset information, and scan for malware on distributed assets without deploying resident software or halting production.

Regulatory movements are also accelerating this challenge. SEMI E187 has raised the bar for accuracy in asset inventories, verification of device integrity, and auditability of inspections in OT environments. These are requirements that manual, scheduled, periodic inspections struggle to meet.

Like other Element inspection products, vPI requires no installation, system restarts, or configuration changes. This allows OT assets to be inspected without causing revalidation, voiding vendor warranties, or impacting production.

vPI is built on inspection technology that has been used in semiconductor manufacturing sites for over two years through TXOne's "Fab Tool Scan" program. In real-world deployments, this approach has reduced inspection cycle times, including malware scans and asset information gathering, by 50% in high-throughput OT environments.

With vPI, these inspections can be performed across connected, distributed environments without software deployment or production downtime. Distribution and management are handled by ElementOne, enabling deployment to hundreds of endpoints from a single console. Building on the same reliable inspection technology that powers Portable Inspector, TXOne extends its proven inspection methods to connected and distributed areas within OT environments.

The Element portfolio is designed around the workflow of inspection, verification, and integrity assessment, with environments where resident endpoint software is operationally difficult in mind. vPI extends this concept across distributed OT environments. For organizations using "TXOne Complete," inspection data from vPI will also integrate with "SenninOne," TXOne's cross-product governance platform that aggregates security information across broader OT environments, alongside product-specific management by ElementOne.

"In many OT environments today, inspections are performed annually, or at best quarterly, coinciding with planned downtime," said Dr. Terence Liu, CEO of TXOne Networks. "With vPI, organizations can perform the same reliable inspections on all connected OT assets weekly, or even daily, without dispatching technicians on-site or halting production. This dramatically changes how frequently you can know if your OT environment is still trustworthy."

For OT Environments Where Production Cannot Be Stopped

vPI is designed for environments where production cannot be stopped and deployment flexibility is essential. Its software-only approach delivers inspection capabilities to situations where physical inspection is difficult to deploy widely.

By reducing reliance on on-site work and physical arrangements, vPI transforms inspection from a point-in-time event tied to annual maintenance shutdowns or quarterly inspection windows, to a continuous, software-driven verification that can be performed weekly or daily. This significantly expands inspection coverage. It shifts from a few cycles per year to a continuous state of verifying the entire asset inventory, reducing the window during which compromises or configuration drift may go unnoticed.

vPI empowers industrial organizations with a comprehensive operational inspection strategy that advances the "Discover. Assess. Protect." framework across their entire OT environment. It covers the entire workflow, from the initial onboarding of assets to continuous visibility and device integrity assessment across connected, distributed environments.

Availability: TXOne Virtual Portable Inspector is scheduled to be available starting mid-July 2026 through TXOne Networks and its global partner network.
