TAIPEI, Taiwan – June 30, 2026 – TXOne Networks (TXOne) today announced the Virtual Portable Inspector (vPI), a new software offering joining its Element inspection portfolio. vPI is designed to enable OT inspection in environments where physical inspection is difficult to deploy widely, such as geographically dispersed sites, assets where USB ports or HMIs are not easily accessible, or facilities where on-site inspection is overly burdensome.

As industrial organizations expand their operations and grow their footprint, traditional on-site inspections are increasingly insufficient. There is a growing need for practical means to verify device integrity, gather asset information, and scan for malware on distributed assets without deploying resident software or halting production.

Regulatory movements are also accelerating this challenge. SEMI E187 has raised the bar for accuracy in asset inventories, verification of device integrity, and auditability of inspections in OT environments. These are requirements that manual, scheduled, periodic inspections struggle to meet.

Like other Element inspection products, vPI requires no installation, system restarts, or configuration changes. This allows OT assets to be inspected without causing revalidation, voiding vendor warranties, or impacting production.

vPI is built on inspection technology that has been used in semiconductor manufacturing sites for over two years through TXOne's "Fab Tool Scan" program. In real-world deployments, this approach has reduced inspection cycle times, including malware scans and asset information gathering, by 50% in high-throughput OT environments.

With vPI, these inspections can be performed across connected, distributed environments without software deployment or production downtime.
