We are pleased to announce that Mr. Tetsuya Komuro, Representative Director of our subsidiary companies Pavilions Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo) and SOUND PORT Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo), has participated in a school anthem composition project using AI technology as a visiting chief scientist at the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (hereinafter 'RIKEN').
1. Project Overview
This project, led by a research team including RIKEN's Team Director Masatoshi Hamanaka, created the school anthem for the Kuwana Municipal Tado Gakuen, a new compulsory education school opening in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, in April 2026, by incorporating AI technology. Mr. Komuro cooperated with this project as a visiting chief scientist at RIKEN and participated in the role of selecting one suitable song for the school anthem from four candidates generated by AI.
2. Production Process
(1) Lyric Writing
An AI model that generates lyrics from keywords was utilized. After human editing, the AI re-generated the lyrics, repeating this interaction to enhance the final product.
(2) Music Composition
A system was built where parts of a song created by a human composer were rewritten with melodies proposed by AI. Children from Kuwana City created material using this system.
(3) Shortlisting and Finishing
The songs were shortlisted using AI technology from Kyushu University that examines the harmony between lyrics and melody. Composers from Tokyo University of the Arts then finalized four candidate songs. Mr. Komuro participated in the final selection of one song suitable for the school anthem.

RIKEN: Project supervision and AI composition system development
