TVer Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroshi Oba; hereinafter referred to as TVer) has reached a basic agreement on business collaboration with UltraImpression Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toshiyori Tana; hereinafter referred to as UltraImpression) and VOXX Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Noriyuki Koike; hereinafter referred to as VOXX). The aim is to leverage each company's expertise to create a new advertising distribution platform and foster the development of advertising technology within the broadcasting industry, building upon the advertising distribution services provided by TVer.
Based on this basic agreement, TVer, UltraImpression, and VOXX will commence discussions on specific measures. They plan to explore joint development of an advertising platform and initiatives that contribute to the overall service growth of the broadcasting industry, with TVer at its center.
Background of This Basic Agreement TVer operates "TVer," a free, official terrestrial broadcaster streaming service that delivers high-quality content produced by TV stations with advertisements. The service boasts over 44.7 million unique browsers per month (*1) and over 650 million video plays per month (*2), with its scale continuously expanding. Advancing ad technology to further enhance the viewing experience and maximize advertising value is an urgent priority.
While UltraImpression and VOXX have individually collaborated with TVer to advance ad technology, it has become clear that a strategic partnership among the three companies, extending beyond individual collaborations, is essential to create a more innovative and unified advertising platform with speed and efficiency.
Future Outlook This basic agreement will consolidate TVer's position as one of Japan's largest advertising distribution platforms with the advertising solution technologies possessed by UltraImpression and VOXX. By promoting this initiative with each company contributing its expertise and resources, they aim to create a new advertising economy within the broadcasting industry and accelerate further growth into services that are attractive to both viewers and advertisers.
*1: Number of unique browsers for TVer alone from January 1 to January 31, 2026. *2: Total video plays across all devices, including VOD, real-time streaming, catch-up playback, and SP LIVE for TVer alone, from December 1 to December 31, 2025 (according to TVer DATA MARKETING).
