Zooming into "Tokyo Station" reveals the playful spirit of its architect, Kingo Tatsuno!?
Tokyo Station, a magnificent terminal that Japan is proud of. Zoom, zoom, zoom into Tokyo Station, which has become like a theme park, including the Marunouchi Station Building, a designated Important Cultural Property, as well as "Tokyo Station Ichibangai" and "Gransta Tokyo"!!!

Built 112 years ago, Tokyo Station was Japan's first steel-framed brick building. In 2012, it was restored to its original appearance. Zooming into this historic Marunouchi Station Building reveals various discoveries!

The zoom focused on this roof ornament. Kingo Tatsuno, known as the father of modern Japanese architecture, designed Tokyo Station. As he was a great sumo fan, it is said that "something" was used as inspiration for its creation. What exactly is this playful "something"?

Furthermore, on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Marunouchi side of the station building, there are many vertical windows, and beyond them lies the "Tokyo Station Hotel," which opened a year after Tokyo Station. Zoom Man infiltrated a room in the center of the station building with large windows, decorated differently from others. This room is a suite costing approximately 1.6 million yen per night. Facing the window, you can see the Imperial Palace! Since we're here, let's zoom in on various items in the suite!
Get great deals and life hacks by zooming into the popular discount store "Trial"!
Next, we head to a recently popular supermarket. "I tend to choose this place because it's cheaper than other supermarkets," says the discount store "Trial," which is rapidly capturing the hearts of housewives. Expanding widely from Kyushu to Kansai, it now has 372 stores nationwide (as of the end of April 2026). Zoom Man investigates the secret to its popularity.

Are there zoom points in the produce section too!? For the upcoming season, perilla leaves are useful as a condiment for dishes like somen noodles. Let's zoom in 50 times on the back of the leaves...

On the back of the leaves, there are small, sparkling particles. These particles are actually scent sacs filled with the aromatic components of perilla leaves, called "glandular scales (senrin)". Zooming in reveals that they are almost evenly distributed on the back of the leaves, but they crush easily when touched. Is there a trick to cutting them to preserve the aroma of perilla leaves?

Next, we arrive at the fresh fish section. What caught our eye was the convenient ingredient "shirasu" (whitebait). Did you know that zooming into shirasu can reveal "something"?
©TV Osaka
We search together with Karibu Suzuki, the director of the "Young Fish Aquarium," the only facility in Japan dedicated to collecting baby fish, located in Shimizu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture.

We found baby crabs. We also discovered various other baby fish! If you zoom into the shirasu at the supermarket, you might occasionally find these rare baby fish.
Zooming into the popular tourist spot "Kamakura" reveals surprising history!
Kamakura is a city dotted with historic shrines and temples, offering a charming promenade along the coast and delicious street food!
It is one of Japan's leading tourist destinations, attracting over 15 million visitors annually, enchanting people of all ages and from all over the world.
One of the must-visit spots in Kamakura is the "Kōtoku-in Temple Great Buddha of Kamakura." It has been enshrined in Kamakura for over 750 years and was a popular tourist spot even in the early Edo period, depicted in guidebooks. It is the town's symbol and the only National Treasure in Kamakura designated as a Buddhist statue.

Zooming in, a part of its cheek is golden! In fact, when the Great Buddha was made, there was a hall at this location, and the Great Buddha inside was covered in gold leaf all over its body. What led to its current state?

Furthermore, we zoom in around the Enoshima Electric Railway and Hase Station! You might even encounter cute animals!?
In addition to these, we investigate one after another the things we notice by zooming! Even common everyday items might hold surprising secrets!
Comments from the program MCs!

What did you feel about the program after actually recording it?
I felt it was a wonderful academic program that discovers new information, wisdom, and findings. When you focus on one thing, it branches out further, and even when you think it's unrelated, it's still connected in a way that's incredibly interesting.
The gap between what you're used to and what you discover is what makes it good. For example, even though I've been to Tokyo Station over 100 times, the discoveries like "Now that you mention it, it's like that" are what make this program interesting.
What part surprised you the most?
What surprised me the most was that people in Tokyo don't seem to mind if someone is dressed entirely in black. Even if someone has a striking outfit, no one comments on it, and it's accepted as normal, which I found interesting.
What was interesting that you zoomed into?
It was the supermarket Trial. I had never been there before, so I was surprised by how it was. Their low prices and corporate efforts are amazing. Among them, zooming into the vegetables. Simple information about vegetables or fruits like "this part is sweet" suddenly becomes useful life information, which was also interesting.
Who would you like to see this program?
All citizens, taxpayers (lol). The information comes in rapid succession, similar to watching short videos. I think young people will also get hooked on this content.
I think young people can enjoy it too. It's new and interesting to do the same zooming sensation you get on your smartphone in the real world.
Is there anything you personally want to zoom into?
I like amberjack. I'd like to zoom in and see the differences between amberjack, yellowtail, and鰤 (buri).
There's a theory that amberjack is named because of the "eight"-like pattern around its head, and I'd like to see that zoomed in.
I wanted to know that with zoom! (lol) Well, I'd also like to zoom in on my body and see the differences between amberjack, yellowtail, and鰤.
