Comment from Takashi Shinada, President and Representative Director, TV Osaka Corporation (Excerpt)

It is a great honor to be present today at the signing of this MOU, aiming to jointly develop the J-K culture sector.

TV Osaka is a media company based in Kansai that creates various programs and holds diverse events to invigorate the region. At the same time, it is a media company that develops unique programs and niche-field programs that other broadcasters do not handle, expanding its reach nationwide and worldwide. Kansai has a large Korean population, and Korean-owned businesses and shops have a strong presence, so TV Osaka also places importance on its relationship with Korea, broadcasting many Korean dramas and holding Korean-related events. Therefore, I am delighted that we can proceed with various discussions together with all of you this time.

Specific collaboration and cooperation measures are yet to be determined, but I am already excited.

I hear that Busan, where Keimyung University is located, has a similar atmosphere to Osaka. If so, I can't help but imagine that programs featuring the local dialects of each region, rather than standard language, might be more interesting.

And, just like the relationship between Osaka and Busan, TV Osaka feels a strong affinity for MBN. Since both our parent companies are major economic newspapers, I feel that our cultures are similar. I hope to learn about the excellence of Korean media from everyone at MBN and build a good relationship with TV Osaka.

I hope that by utilizing the power of entertainment, we can all work together to build a bridge between Japan and Korea. Thank you all for your cooperation.

Through this agreement, the three parties will deepen cultural understanding between Japan and South Korea and contribute to the development of creative talent across borders.
