"Tully's Coffee Celebrates 100th Hospital Store Opening" "Tully's Coffee Yamaguchi University School of Medicine Affiliated Hospital Store" to Open on April 3 (Friday)

~22 Years of Supporting Medical Sites~ Tully's Coffee Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Shuji Uchiyama) will open the "Tully's Coffee Yamaguchi University School of Medicine Affiliated Hospital Store" on Friday, April 3rd. This will be the 100th store to open within hospitals nationwide.

This store aims to be an "oasis within the hospital" where all visitors, including inpatients and outpatients, hospital staff, medical students, and local residents, can spend their time comfortably, with the concept of "a space for healing and relaxation." The store features a book corner (supervised by Ogaki Shoten) with approximately 2,000 books, providing a space where customers can enjoy a relaxing cafe time while browsing books. In addition to general seating, there are also meeting rooms available for anyone to use, as well as rooms exclusively for staff and related personnel, catering to various usage scenarios.

Tully's Coffee began its store expansion within medical institutions in 2004, starting with the "Tully's Coffee Kozinkai University of Tokyo Hospital Store" opened within the University of Tokyo Hospital. In the hospital environment, where patients, their families, and healthcare professionals come and go while facing treatment, we have continued to build stores that are close to the medical field with the desire to "provide moments of respite."

Currently, out of approximately 830 stores nationwide, hospital-based stores account for over 10%. To accommodate the hospital environment, we have designed stores that meet hospital needs, such as creating recesses at the base of the register counter for easier wheelchair access, and installing handrails in waiting areas. We also focus on creating spaces with consideration unique to hospital stores, such as providing flexible customer service so that patients and healthcare professionals can feel at ease. Furthermore, some stores are advancing initiatives tailored to the local community and user characteristics, such as holding events that include reading picture books and singing hand-clapping songs, and offering coffee classes using sign language for the hearing impaired.

Our expansion into hospital-based stores marks the 100th anniversary store milestone, and 22 years since our first store at the University of Tokyo Hospital, marking a significant point in our continuous support for the medical field.

"Tully's Coffee JR Tokyo General Hospital Store" to Open on Monday, April 27th Based on natural materials and soft color tones, the design incorporates a sense of natural warmth. The counter made of craft veneer, textured tiles, beige paint, and bright wood grain create a soft and bright atmosphere. Adjacent to the shared space, 52 seats will be provided, offering moments of relaxation for patients and visitors.
