TOUCH TO GO Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Tomoki Akutsu; hereinafter: TTG) and JTB Trading Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yuji Kato) are pleased to announce that the unmanned payment system "TTG-SENSE" was introduced in the shop of "Entaiji," a long-established ryokan in Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture, starting from Friday, March 27, 2026. This marks the first implementation of "TTG-SENSE" in a collaboration between TTG and JTB Trading.

■ About this initiative

Previously, the shop at Entaiji Ryokan operated with staff from the front desk rushing to assist with each payment, which presented a significant operational burden. Furthermore, the shop closed at night, creating a demand to improve convenience for staying guests and secure sales opportunities. Resolving long queues at the register during peak times was also an urgent task.

To address these challenges, a hybrid introduction method was adopted, where only a portion of the shop around the cashier was equipped with "TTG-SENSE" rather than a full unmanned conversion of the entire store. While all products in the store can be settled at self-checkout, specific four shelves frequently used are equipped with an automatic recognition function that automatically identifies and displays products simply by picking them up. With the introduction of this system, operating hours can be extended to 24 hours, allowing for flexible response to shopping needs late at night and early in the morning.

"TTG-SENSE" is a system that tracks customer movements with cameras installed on the ceiling and detects product movements with weight sensors on the shelves, enabling speedy shopping without the need to scan products at checkout. Additionally, no membership registration or dedicated app is required, allowing customers to easily enjoy a smart shopping experience. This eliminates the need for staff to be stationed at the register, achieving both efficiency in front desk operations and improved customer satisfaction.
