About the 'Tabisuru Tsubaratsubara' Event
'Tabisuru Tsubaratsubara' Concept
To express gratitude for 30 years of customer support for Tsuruya Yoshinobu's bestselling confection 'Tsubaratsubara' and to further spread awareness of its appeal, we are hosting the 'Tabisuru Tsubaratsubara' event: a limited-time pop-up selling a special handmade product called 'Fuwamochi Tsubara' at various stores across Japan.
After successful runs at our Kyoto Main Store (1st stop) and Abeno Harukas Keihan Main Store in Osaka (2nd stop), the event returns for a one-week run at our directly operated store in 'Kyoto's gateway'—Kyoto Station! Located just outside the Shinkansen Hachijo Exit, it's extremely convenient for travelers. We warmly welcome you to stop by with family and friends.
[2nd Stop] Osaka Event: Sold Out Every Day Despite Rain!
Cheerfully serving customers for three days in the basement food hall
The second event was held from June 26 (Fri) to June 28 (Sun), 2026, at Abeno Harukas Keihan Main Store in Abeno-ku, Osaka. Despite rainy weather due to a typhoon, we welcomed many customers throughout all three days and sold out completely each day.
We were deeply honored to receive kind comments such as: 'I heard it sold out at the main store, so I was determined to try it!' 'I've been waiting for it to come to Osaka!' and 'It looks so cute and delicious!' Thank you so much to everyone who visited!

About the Confection 'Tsubaratsubara'
Tsuruya Yoshinobu's bestselling baked confection 'Tsubaratsubara' was first launched 30 years ago in 1996. Its signature soft, chewy baked skin—crafted through a unique blend of ingredients—wraps around a smooth, mellow ogura an filling, creating a beloved treat enjoyed during daily tea time, as everyday gifts, or for special occasions. It has been cherished by countless customers ever since.
● Rich flavor from Hokkaido Tokachi-grown azuki beans
The heart of a great Japanese confection is its 'an' (bean paste). 'Tsubaratsubara' uses premium 'Hokkaido Tokachi-grown azuki beans,' cultivated in the fertile northern lands. The cool climate and large temperature variations enhance sweetness and flavor, producing plump, large beans. These carefully selected beans are simmered into a full-bodied, smooth 'ogura an.'
● One-of-a-kind 'chewy and moist' texture
The perfect balance of 'chewiness' with gentle elasticity and 'moistness' that blends beautifully with the bean paste. This unforgettable texture is achieved by blending glutinous rice flour and wheat flour using Tsuruya Yoshinobu's proprietary method, then slowly baked on copper plates. We invite you to savor each bite slowly and deeply.
● Safe,安心, and heartfelt deliciousness
Manufactured and shipped from our own facility, 'Tsuruya Yoshinobu FACTORY' in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, under strict quality control. The baked skin is slowly roasted to achieve a delicate aroma and softness. Special care and machinery adjustments ensure each piece gently wraps the ogura an like a soft hand. We deliver consistent, trusted deliciousness to customers nationwide.
