■ Event Overview
Dates: May 13 (Wed), 14 (Thu), 15 (Fri) 10:00–17:00
Location: Intex Osaka, Booth Number 18-26
Exhibited Items: Fatty Acids 'TFA-Series,' Dimer Acids 'Tsunodime Series,' Fatty Acid Esters 'TFE-Series,' Polyamide Resins 'Vegechem Green V/G Series,' and other developmental products.

Fatty Acids 'TFA Series'
Mainly derived from byproducts of rice oil production and waste cooking oil, these consist primarily of C16–C18 mixed fatty acids. They are widely used in industrial applications such as raw materials for soap powder, resins, and various derivatives. Beyond industrial use, they are used in calcium fatty acids for dairy cattle feed to improve milk fat percentage and yield. They are also applied in cosmetic soap materials and rubber additives. We promote the recycling of waste cooking oil as part of our environmental preservation activities, contributing to the effective use of resources.

・TFA-IS4 (Mass-produced) and IS4R (Developmental)
Utilizing accumulated expertise in fatty acid purification, hydrogenation, and dimer acid production, we have begun manufacturing and selling isostearic acid.

Dimer Acid 'Tsunodime Series'
Dimer acid is a liquid fatty acid primarily composed of C36 dibasic acid, produced by the dimerization of C18 unsaturated fatty acids from vegetable oils, also containing monobasic and tribasic acids. It is a renewable product using fatty acids obtained as part of our waste cooking oil recycling business. Dimer acids are used as raw materials for polyamide amines for epoxy resin curing agents and thermoplastic polyamide resins used in coatings, inks, and adhesives. Their long-chain dibasic acid characteristics are also utilized as raw materials for flexibility modification.

・Tsunodime LH395 and FH395 (Developmental)
Developed the first partially hydrogenated dimer acid (LH395) and fully hydrogenated dimer acid (FH395) in Japan. Color and heat resistance, which were challenges for dimer acids, have been significantly improved.

Fatty Acid Ester 'TFE Series'
Fatty acid esters maximize the use of renewable biomass raw materials that are not suitable for food, making them environmentally friendly. Major applications include resin plasticizers, fiber lubricants, metalworking fluids (cutting, rolling, plastic forming), and synthetic lubricants. We also offer customization and contract manufacturing upon request.

・Isostearic Acid Esters (Developmental)
Using our manufactured isostearic acid TFA-IS4, we have developed several types of esters from monoesters to hindered types. They feature low color, low acid value, and low iodine value, with TFE-SG series and TFE-SD achieving 100% biomass content.

Polyamide Resins
Liquid polyamides are polyamide amines synthesized from dimer acids or fatty acids with polyamines, used as epoxy curing agents in coatings and adhesives. They are widely used in ships, bridges, automobiles, electrical appliances, civil engineering, and onshore/offshore structures. Solid polyamides are eco-friendly synthetic resins based on dimer acids, used as binders for printing inks in food packaging and as hot-melt adhesives in automotive, electrical, and electronic parts.

・Water-based Epoxy Curing Agent (Developmental)
Developed polyamide amines that contribute to environmental friendliness through water-based products. Maintaining a biomass content of approximately 50%, they achieve good storage stability and adhesion.

Other Developmental Products
・Biomass Hydrocarbon THC-182
Developed biomass hydrocarbons by combining Tsuno's unique technologies. With a unique molecular structure, it serves as a base oil for lubricants and more.

■ Tsuno's Oleochemical Business: Over Half a Century of History
Tsuno Group started its oleochemical business in 1960. We manufacture fatty acids and fatty acid derivatives from byproducts generated during rice oil refining and other vegetable oils. Using this technology, we have been helping recycle used cooking oil since the 1990s. Through long-standing technological innovation, we have established an integrated production and development system from raw materials to derivatives. Applications include resins, inks, lubricants, plasticizers, adhesives, soaps, and more.
