Our construction examples selected for HOKKAIDO WOOD BUILDING 2025
Three construction projects undertaken by Tsujino Kensetsu Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Tobetsu-cho, Ishikari-gun, Hokkaido; Representative Director: Hiroshi Tsujino) have been featured in "HOKKAIDO WOOD BUILDING 2025," a collection of wooden building case studies published by Hokkaido Prefecture (Fisheries and Forestry Department). This is expected to contribute to the expanded use of Hokkaido-produced timber through our excellent wooden construction.
Three Featured Projects: Diverse Applications of Wooden Construction
This collection registers and introduces buildings that utilize a certain percentage or more of Hokkaido-produced timber and widely convey its appeal. This time, the following three facilities constructed by our company were selected:
・ Tobetsu Clinic (Medical Facility): Realizing a gentle space where the warmth of wood provides comfort to patients.
・ Tobetsu Gakuen (Educational Facility): Providing a rich environment where children, who will lead the next generation, can learn while experiencing the texture of wood.
・ Office (Commercial Facility): An advanced wooden office that enhances the well-being of workers and stimulates creativity.
Three Reasons Why Tsujino Kensetsu Kogyo Advocates Choosing "Wooden Construction" Now
We believe that wooden construction is not merely a design option, but an important strategic choice.
・ Economic Advantage (Cost Suppression) Amidst rising construction material costs, wooden construction tends to suppress building costs compared to reinforced concrete (RC) and steel frame (S) structures. As high-quality yet cost-effective construction, it is attracting widespread attention from residential to non-residential (public and commercial) sectors.
・ Local Contribution through Local Production for Local Consumption Actively utilizing Hokkaido-produced timber directly leads to the revitalization of local industries. By promoting local production for local consumption, we support Hokkaido's forestry industry and contribute to the realization of a sustainable local community (SDGs).
・ Gentle Impression and Psychological Value The unique soft texture and aroma of wood provide psychological comfort to users. We are convinced that in medical and educational settings, this "gentle impression" holds more significant value than mere functionality.
As Professionals in Wooden Construction
Through custom-built homes, offices, and large-scale wooden constructions such as "Nordic Wind Roadside Station Tobetsu," our company has refined its construction techniques optimized for Hokkaido's climate. We will continue to pursue the possibilities of "wood" and expand community-rooted, rich town planning from Tobetsu-cho to all of Hokkaido.
