Tsukurea Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hideki Suzuki; hereinafter referred to as Tsukurea), which jointly operates the open innovation hub for technology startups "KBIC (Kawasaki Business Incubation Center)" in the Shinkawasaki area, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, announces that its resident company, Micro Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Yuji Tanaka; hereinafter referred to as Micro Chemical Technology), will jointly exhibit a Desktop Chemical Plant (DTP) utilizing a large-scale microchemical system, along with related equipment, at "Plant Show 2026" hosted by the Japan Management Association, to be held from July 15 (Wed) to 17 (Fri), 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight.

What is a Desktop Chemical Plant (DTP) with a Large-Scale Microchemical System?

A Desktop Chemical Plant (DTP) is a technology that enables annual production in the ton class while retaining the advantages of microchemical processes, such as improved reaction efficiency, waste reduction, and energy saving.

In recent years, chemical systems have been increasingly miniaturized and integrated. This is because chemical processes occurring in microspaces allow for time savings, improved efficiency, and reduced reagent and waste.

These processes are integrated onto glass chips called "microchemical chips" equipped with microchannels, enabling seamless mixing, reaction, separation, and detection, realizing compact and portable "on-demand, on-site" chemical processes. However, the production volume per chip was very small, making it unsuitable for mass production.

Therefore, IMT TAIWAN CO., LTD. and Micro Chemical Technology have developed DTP, which enables mass production through large-scale parallelization of microchemical chips.

Exhibition Overview

Exhibition Booth

We will be exhibiting at booth No. 2-Q06 in East Hall 2.

Exhibits

The following will be exhibited:

1. Desktop Chemical Plant

2. Unit Operation Modules for Desktop Plant, MM Series

3. Microchemical Chips and Peripheral Accessories

1. Desktop Chemical Plant

【Product Features】

Achieves large-scale annual production in the ton class with a single unit through large-scale parallelization of microchemical chips. It enables improved reaction efficiency, no need for stirring/classification, improved energy efficiency, waste reduction, space saving, on-site/on-demand production, and reduced startup time, which are characteristics of microchemical processes. This plant can be rapidly developed from processes established in the lab.

【Use Cases】

- Manufacturing equipment for polymer synthesis such as radical polymerization (e.g., photoresist polymers for semiconductors)

- Manufacturing equipment for uniform particle size particles (e.g., production of polymer gel beads, functional microparticles)

2. Unit Operation Modules for Desktop Chemical Plant, MM Series

【Product Features】

These modules allow for immediate experimentation of microchemical processes such as mixing, reaction, separation, distillation, and extraction simply by connecting reagent bottles. By connecting modules in series, they can be used as a platform to investigate any microchemical process. Knowledge gained from the MM series can be directly applied to DTP, enabling smooth startup of mass production.

The MM-10 exhibited this time is a mixing/reaction module that achieves precise control of molecular weight/monomer composition, reduction of byproducts, and improvement of raw material conversion rate through precise temperature and flow control.

【Use Cases】

- Experimental studies of reaction conditions with precise temperature control (e.g., molecular weight control of semiconductor photoresists, measurement of reaction rates)

- Experiments for pharmaceutical synthesis through multi-step reaction control (e.g., synthesis of anticancer drugs)

- Safe synthesis experiments of explosive substances (e.g., nitration, diazotization reactions)

- Extraction experiments of specific substances in liquids (e.g., wet analysis of metal ions)

3. Microchemical Chips and Peripheral Accessories

【Product Features】

These can be used as chips for mixing/reaction for those starting research with microchemical chips, or as chips for environmental/bioanalysis. Based on our long-accumulated microchemical chip manufacturing technology (chip substrate materials, channel sizes, channel processing, bonding, etc.), we produce custom chips optimally designed for customers' microchemical processes.

We systemize peripheral accessories developed from a researcher's perspective, such as liquid supply tubes, connectors, chip holders, and pumps, which are essential for experiments using microchemical chips.

【Use Cases】

- Customization and replacement devices for Desktop Chemical Plants and MM Series (e.g., custom-made microchemical chips, connectors, tubes)

- Basic experimental systems for microchemical processes (e.g., liquid supply systems, pneumatic pump systems)
