What is 'Anime × Game Jam UE2 (UNLIMITED ENERGY 2) in Kyoto'?
This is a hackathon (※) where aspiring anime and game creators transcend industry boundaries to explore new possibilities in animated visual expression using digital technologies such as game engines.
Following the August hackathon during summer break, completed works will undergo a rigorous review by professional creators after a three-week refinement period. Outstanding entries will be awarded at a ceremony held as a collaborative event during the 'Kyoto International Manga & Anime Fair (Kyomafu) 2026' in September.
Under the detailed guidance of mentors active at the forefront of the anime and game industries, this event provides opportunities to learn professional production know-how and behind-the-scenes techniques, fully supporting the next generation of creators.
Through this event, we aim to produce new, engaging animated works and foster cross-generational creative exchange.
