Tsucrea Signs Collaboration Agreement with Taiwan's ITRI to Support Global Expansion and Supply Chain Integration for Startups, Semiconductor, and Manufacturing Companies

Tsucrea Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hideki Suzuki; hereinafter 'Tsucrea') has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan's largest applied research organization, effective March 1, 2026, regarding the global expansion and supply chain integration of companies from both countries.

Through this partnership, Tsucrea and ITRI will work to support overseas expansion and promote international supply chain collaboration for startups, semiconductor-related companies, and manufacturing companies in Japan and Taiwan.

Details of the Agreement

This MOU serves as a high-level framework to support global and Japan expansion, supply chain integration, and business development for companies across a wide range of industries, including not only startups but also semiconductor and manufacturing sectors. Under this MOU, both parties will build upon individual agreements for specific areas of cooperation, including the mutual utilization of the Corporate Partner Program (CPP) (*1) and incubation facilities (*2).

*2 Facilities that provide activity spaces, consultation support, and networking opportunities for individuals aiming to start a business or companies taking on new ventures.

Background and Purpose

Both organizations have been engaged in startup support, ecosystem development, and corporate growth support in Japan and Taiwan. In recent years, there has been a growing need for more effective support systems in response to the increasing demand for international expansion in the deep tech field.

This partnership aims to further promote the overseas expansion of startups between Japan and Taiwan by leveraging the support track records and networks in the deep tech field that ITRI and Tsucrea each possess.

ITRI operates 'INNOPAD TAIPEI', one of the major startup support hubs promoted by the Taipei City Government, focusing on startups in AI, smart manufacturing, healthcare, and sustainability. Through business matching, proof-of-concept (PoC) support, expert mentoring, and providing international collaboration opportunities, ITRI, in cooperation with the Taipei City Government, accelerates the creation and global expansion of startups.

In this partnership, the two parties will further strengthen the growth support and international expansion of Japan-Taiwan startups, focusing on these key areas where 'INNOPAD TAIPEI' has strengths.
