Tsubakimoto Machinery Sales Establishes New Business-Focused Sales Office "Tsubaki Mirai Port" in Minato-ku, Tokyo

Tsubakimoto Machinery Sales Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Osaka; President: Satoru Saso; a 100% sales subsidiary of Tsubakimoto Chain Co. ※1, hereinafter referred to as TMC) will open "Tsubaki Mirai Port" in Minato-ku, Tokyo, as a key station to promote the business expansion of new businesses within the Tsubaki Group. Initially, sales will commence on April 1st for the social implementation of the "Chain Waiter ※3," a wheelchair-accessible stair lift developed by Tsubakimoto Chain Co. (hereinafter referred to as "our company") and equipped with our proprietary "Zip Chain ※2" in its drive mechanism (developed by CHAIN WAITER Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Chain Waiter Inc.").

The Tsubaki Group is currently developing its "Human Assist Business" as part of its efforts to achieve "the realization of a society that is kind to people," one of the three social challenges outlined in its "Long-Term Vision 2030" launched in fiscal year 2021.

The "wheelchair-accessible stair lift" developed by Chain Waiter Inc. aims to "realize daily life where everyone can interact at the same eye level." Its core mechanism employs a self-supporting chain drive system using our proprietary "Zip Chain." Our company has provided comprehensive support, including technical assistance, for its practical implementation.

At "Tsubaki Mirai Port," Tsubakimoto Chain, which provides technical and business development support for the Chain Waiter business, TMC, which serves as the general sales agent, and Chain Waiter Inc., the manufacturer, will collaborate to accelerate the growth of this business and contribute to the realization of a barrier-free society.

"Tsubaki Mirai Port" will initially focus on sales activities to drive the growth and expansion of the "Chain Waiter" business. It will also broaden its scope of activities as a hub for expanding new businesses within the Tsubaki Group and promoting their early commercialization.

① Independent Seismic Structure & Space-Saving Design

・Can be installed in existing buildings due to its independent seismic structure frame.

・Utilizing the self-supporting chain drive system with "Zip Chain," it achieves a maximum step height of 4 meters. Its space-saving design allows installation in general residences if there is a space of 42 cm under the floor. Unlike conventional home elevators, it does not require additional building reinforcement work or overhead space, allowing installation in as little as one day.

・With Type Approval certification, administrative building permit applications are not required for buildings under 500㎡ (notification may be required by some administrative bodies).

② Compatible with Large and Special Wheelchairs

・Maximum platform area of 2.25㎡ and maximum load capacity of 300kg. It can safely accommodate reclining or special wheelchairs exceeding 200kg.

③ Safe Even During Power Outages

・In the event of a power outage, it automatically descends to the first floor using an emergency battery.
