The self-produced performance launched by the "Narikomaya Three Brothers," who aspire to be the "strongest three brothers" in the Kabuki world! With the desire to "deliver the charm of Kabuki by ourselves," they have continued to stage performances, and this fifth installment will further elevate their experience and passion, challenging themselves with their largest-scale event yet. The three brothers and the Kamiyacho Ichimon (family) will present an even more evolved form.

TST Entertainment Inc. and Springfield Co., Ltd. are pleased to announce that the "5th Kamiyacho Kokabuki" will be held in Spring 2027 at "THEATER MILANO-Za" on the 6th floor of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, a sacred place for entertainment in Shinjuku where many hit works have been performed.

The "Kamiyacho Kokabuki," currently enjoying a successful run of its fourth performance (until May 3rd at Asakusa Public Hall), has gathered increasing attention with each installment since its first event in June 2023. The eagerly awaited fifth installment will finally take place in 2027. This performance has progressed with the desire to "make the charm of Kabuki easy to understand" and "convey the wonder of classics ourselves." For this upcoming performance, aiming to deliver the appeal of Kabuki to an even wider audience, it will be staged at THEATER MILANO-Za on the 6th floor of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. A total of 10 performances are planned, the most ever for Kamiyacho Kokabuki. The goal is to create an enhanced stage that can be enjoyed by a diverse audience, including those who have enjoyed Kamiyacho Kokabuki before, traditional Grand Kabuki fans, first-time Kabuki viewers, and inbound tourists from overseas.

Furthermore, official YouTube and TikTok channels have been launched today. A year-long documentary series is scheduled to be distributed until May 2027, when the fifth performance opens.

During the period leading up to the performance, behind-the-scenes footage of rehearsals, the production site, and the passion of the Narikomaya Three Brothers for the performance will be delivered for approximately one year.

■ Comment from Nakamura Hashinosuke

"The 'Kamiyacho Kokabuki,' which we, the three brothers, have tirelessly pursued with the same vision, driven by the desire to 'shape our thoughts with our own hands,' is now celebrating its fifth installment. We are incredibly excited and thrilled to be making our debut at 'THEATER MILANO-Za.' We will diligently ascend the stairs one step at a time, 'in the Narikomaya style,' to become the 'strongest three brothers' and the 'strongest Narikomaya Kamiyacho Ichimon.' Most of all, I'm super excited!!!!"

■ Comment from Nakamura Fukunosuke

"I am very grateful that 'THEATER MILANO-Za' reached out to us to host the fifth performance, a milestone for Kamiyacho Kokabuki. We, as the entire Ichimon, will work together to show everyone a Kamiyacho Kokabuki that is distinctively different from before, so please look forward to it!"

■ Comment from Nakamura Utanosuke

"The fact that we, the three brothers, who started this 'Kamiyacho Kokabuki' without knowing left from right, have been able to continue for five installments is thanks to all the people who support us, and the customers who have visited the theater. Also, I am very happy and grateful that we can hold 'Kamiyacho Kokabuki' at 'THEATER MILANO-Za' in this milestone fifth year. We hope to convey our 'passion' through classical Kabuki to people all over the world, so that they will love Kabuki as much as we do."

■ What is 'Kamiyacho Kokabuki'?

Since childhood, we three brothers used to imitate the roles performed by our father Shikan, devised scripts and directions from scratch, and created the performances we wanted to do, with our mother's help for costumes, wigs, large props, small props, flyers, and posters, playing 'drama games.' As we grew older, we gradually harbored the dream of 'doing our own genuine self-produced performance!'

The name 'Kamiyacho Kokabuki' combines 'Kamiyacho,' which is the home base of Narikomaya, with 'Kokabuki' (small Kabuki), embodying the ambition to one day be promoted to 'Grand Kabuki.' The three brothers, who deeply love Kabuki, face the same direction, support each other, and elevate one another. With this determination and passion always in mind, we will challenge the fifth installment.
