SEVEN BY SEVEN to Hold a POP-UP at Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building 6th Floor!

The fashion brand "SEVEN BY SEVEN" is holding a pop-up event at the Isetan Shinjuku Men's store, featuring one-of-a-kind items made from rare "masu sample fabric." This vintage fabric, originally used for color testing, is no longer widely produced, and the collection reinterprets its unique, chance-driven beauty into modern clothing. The event will also feature a standard collection, allowing visitors to compare the special items with the brand's inline products.

"SEVEN BY SEVEN," developed by TSI Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Akasaka, Minato-ku; President & CEO: Tsuyoshi Shimoji), will hold a POP-UP event featuring a collection of one-of-a-kind limited items using "masu sample fabric," which is difficult to reproduce in modern times.

"SEVEN BY SEVEN" previously released a one-of-a-kind series collection using the now-rare "masu sample fabric," which was originally woven to check coloring in the pre-production process of fabric making.

In line with this, a limited-time POP-UP event will now be held on the 6th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building.

Reinterpreting "Masu Sample Fabric": A Crystallization of Immense Cost and Craftsmanship

"Masu sample" refers to fabric for checking color variations, woven to try out many combinations of warp and weft threads when producing yarn-dyed fabrics. This process of intricately crossing multi-colored threads requires enormous cost and time, making it completely unsuitable for mass production. As a result, the number of artisans who can produce it has decreased, and masu samples that convey the passion of that era have become extremely valuable.

"SEVEN BY SEVEN" focuses on the beauty of colors born from this chance and the unique expressions created by the weave structure. They have sublimated deadstock masu samples, painstakingly collected over many years, into modern silhouettes.

A One-of-a-Kind Texture Drawn by the Weave

This series is a collection that treats the "change in the weave itself" as the design, rather than a design created by switching fabrics.

・Completely One-of-a-Kind

Because the material is not optimized for mass production, every item is a one-off with a different expression.

・Four Carefully Selected Styles

To maximize the charm of the material, the shapes were deliberately limited, designed to accentuate the fabric's drape and texture.

・Contrast with the Inline Collection

At the POP-UP space, inline items of the same style using broadcloth fabric will also be available. You can enjoy the contrast between the special "masu sample" and the refined "standard."
