■ Overview
Aiming to deliver the "necessary items" in the "necessary quantities" at the "necessary time" when it comes to pro-tools (factory secondary materials) required at manufacturing sites, Trusco Nakayama Corporation holds an inventory of approximately 620,000 items across 28 logistics centers nationwide, striving to improve convenience for customers procuring secondary materials. The "HC East Japan Logistics Center"* (Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture), scheduled to commence operations in August 2026, will become our 30th logistics center, following "Planet Aichi" (Kitanagoya City, Aichi Prefecture) which is slated to operate in May 2026.
*The facility was previously named "Planet Niigata," but has been changed to HC East Japan Logistics Center.
■ Role of the HC East Japan Logistics Center
Due to sales expansion to home centers, our existing logistics center dedicated to the home center route, "HC East Japan Logistics Center" located in Sanjo City, Niigata, is reaching its maximum inventory storage and shipping capacities. To build a more efficient working environment and meet the needs of more customers, including home centers, we decided to relocate.
Following the relocation, we will further strengthen our delivery system for the home center route. We will enhance our logistics storage capacity and shipping system to respond more flexibly and efficiently to requests from home centers, such as "stocking store brand products" and "sorting and delivering by individual stores."
Additionally, this logistics center will also play a role in stocking products from overseas manufacturers. We have currently established supplier bases in five countries and regions—Thailand, the US, Germany, Taiwan, and Hong Kong—and are expanding our handling of products from top overseas manufacturers. By positioning this center as an unloading hub on the Sea of Japan side and centrally storing overseas products imported in bulk, it will serve an inventory replenishment function for logistics bases nationwide, thereby further strengthening our inventory management system for imported goods.
Furthermore, the existing "HC East Japan Logistics Center" will be renamed "Planet Niigata" and will enhance its functions to improve logistics services in the Niigata area. Until now, inventory for the Niigata Branch and Niigata North Branch was supplied from "Planet North Kanto" in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture, but moving forward, we will shift to a supply system from "Planet Niigata." Through this, we aim to hold necessary products closer to users and realize the "fastest," "shortest," and "best" delivery.
■ Completion Ceremony
The completion ceremony was attended by Tadao Kamei, Chairman of Nikken Sekkei Ltd., who handled the design, and Yoshikazu Oshimi, Representative Director, Chairman and CEO of Kajima Corporation, who managed the construction, alongside Tetsuya Nakayama, Representative Director and President of Trusco Nakayama Corporation. Rituals such as purification, descent of the gods, and the offering of tamagushi (sacred branches) were carried out without a hitch.
