Torubizon delivers lecture at AI study session hosted by Fukuoka City Electrical Construction Cooperatives Association

Torubizon Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; Representative Director: Mamoru Masumoto) delivered a lecture titled 'Opportunities and Crises in the Electrical Construction Industry: Generative AI Solves Labor Shortage x Aging Population' at an AI study session hosted by the Fukuoka City Electrical Construction Cooperatives Association on March 12, 2026. The lecture, aimed at 70 business owners in the electrical construction industry, focused on three main themes: new norms in the generative AI era, approaches to efficiency improvement through AI, and specific AI application scenarios unique to the electrical construction industry. Specific application scenarios introduced included automation of estimation tasks, improving estimation accuracy using past project databases, and mechanisms for AI to learn tacit knowledge from veteran engineers and transmit it to younger generations. A post-lecture survey received responses from 20 companies, with multiple firms requesting specific consultations for AI implementation. Key findings included an increased awareness among business owners to learn AI themselves, recognition of industry-specific challenges such as labor shortages, aging workforce, and knowledge transfer, and a growing demand for study sessions led by industry associations. Mamoru Masumoto, Representative Director of Torubizon, stated that their mission is to formalize and amplify the 'on-site knowledge' accumulated over 50 years using AI, and to support its transfer to the next generation.
