■Details of 'mamaro™' Installed Baby Care Room Installation
・Installation Location
'Tokyo National Museum Family Space'
・Start Date of Operation
April 21, 2026 (Tuesday)
・Eligible Users
Visitors with small children (can be used regardless of gender).
Women who express breast milk.
■Background of Installation
The museum wishes for children to enjoy their visit and take home memories of 'that was fun!'. For guardians visiting with children, we wanted to provide a comfortable space where they don't have to worry about others. With this sentiment, we held 'Museum Play Space: Tohaku!' twice in fiscal year 2024 (November 8, 2024 (Friday) - December 8, 2024 (Sunday)) and fiscal year 2025 (January 16, 2026 (Friday) - March 1, 2026 (Sunday)). In both instances, two 'mamaro' units were installed within the venue, which were highly praised by guardians of preschool children. As these were temporary events, 'mamaro' was also installed only during the event periods. However, it has now been decided to permanently install them in the family space.

■About the 'mamaro™' Baby Care Room
'mamaro' is a movable, fully private baby care room that can be installed in a space about the size of one tatami mat. In addition to being usable for a wide range of baby care needs, it is equipped with software that links with a smartphone app to show real-time usage status and acquire user data.
Because it is a private room with a lock, there are many options for installation locations, and it can be used regardless of gender, leading to an increasing number of installations as part of D&I and SDGs initiatives.
