The establishment of the Distribution ISAC, the first of its kind in the distribution industry, has begun in April 2026 by founding members including Trial Holdings Inc. (hereinafter, Trial), Asahi Group Japan Inc. (hereinafter, Asahi Group Japan), Mitsubishi Shokuhin Inc. (hereinafter, Mitsubishi Shokuhin), and NTT Corporation (hereinafter, NTT), aiming to improve the 'collective defense power' in cybersecurity across the entire distribution industry.

### 1. Background and Goals of Establishing the Distribution ISAC (Information Sharing and Analysis Center)
In recent years, cyberattacks have become increasingly sophisticated and cunning, with cases emerging where specific companies in the supply chain are targeted, causing immense damage to the entire supply chain's business activities. The distribution industry, centered on food, beverages, and daily necessities, is structured in a three-tier system tightly linking manufacturing, wholesale, and retail. A cyber incident occurring in one company can have widespread impacts on society and national life through production stoppages, logistical disruptions, and store closures.

Furthermore, in responding to cyber incidents, individual company or organization-level efforts have reached their limits. ISAC initiatives, which share and analyze security measures across industries to quickly disseminate attacker IoC*1 information and information on vulnerabilities frequently targeted in the distribution industry to ISAC member companies, are gaining attention for their potential to improve the defensive capabilities against cyberattacks for the entire supply chain.

In light of these circumstances, Trial, Asahi Group Japan, Mitsubishi Shokuhin, and NTT, along with the founding companies, have decided to establish the 'Distribution ISAC' with the objective of strengthening cybersecurity measures within the distribution industry.

### 2. Objectives and Activities of the Distribution ISAC
The Distribution ISAC will serve as a framework for the industry as a whole to prepare for cyber risks, complementing the limitations of individual company responses. Participating companies will share and analyze information based on mutual trust, leading to effective countermeasures.

The objectives of this ISAC are as follows:
1. Collection, Analysis, and Sharing of Threat Information and Incident Information
Grasp and share signs of cyberattacks and damage cases through the three business formats of manufacturing, wholesale, and retail, thereby promoting industry-wide alerts and enhancing initial response capabilities.
2. Organization of Distribution Industry Best Practices
Consolidate and share knowledge and insights from each company's initiatives regarding various security guidelines, organizing them as practical directives that consider industry characteristics.
3. Awareness Raising and Human Resource Development for Information Security
Aim to improve the skills of operational staff, management, and administrators through study sessions, exercises, etc., to enhance on-site response capabilities.

Following the establishment of the Distribution ISAC, working groups will be set up for each objective to deepen discussions throughout the year, with regular progress reports provided to member companies. Member companies will be able to receive specialized security countermeasure knowledge for the distribution industry.

Through the above, we aim to suppress supply disruptions due to cyber incidents and ensure the stable supply of foodstuffs and daily necessities, thereby contributing to the safety and security of national life.
