Triad Japan Inc. (Tokyo Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Miho Goto; hereinafter 'Triad Japan'), which supports the realization of new medical care through clinical trial implementation support, is pleased to announce that it will hold an 'Online Seminar to Think About Schizophrenia Treatment and Its Options Together with Families and Patients' on Saturday, April 25, 2026. This event is part of our PPI (Patient and Public Involvement) activities and is supported by the Japan Federation of Families of the Mentally Ill (Minna-net) and the schizophrenia patient LINE group 'Suki-Zo!'.

Schizophrenia is a condition that, while requiring long-term treatment, often brings various concerns for both patients and their families, including anxiety about daily life and the future, treatment outlooks, and relationships with medical professionals. However, due to constraints on consultation time and the abundance of mixed information in society, it is often difficult for patients and their families to organize and understand the overall picture of treatment.

Furthermore, many people feel anxious or have questions about 'clinical trials'—which are conducted to confirm the efficacy and safety of new drugs and treatments—because they are not widely understood.

Against this background, this seminar aims to start by providing an 'easy-to-understand overview' of schizophrenia treatment. In addition to explanations of the latest treatment trends by specialists, we will carefully explain the basics of clinical trials and safety initiatives. We will prioritize listening to the voices and real-life experiences of patients and their families, and think together about the anxieties they face and how to approach treatment.

This project is not intended to encourage participation in clinical trials, but rather to help participants organize their anxieties and questions through 'knowing,' and to help them view clinical trials as 'one of the options that can be correctly understood and discussed when necessary.' We are holding this seminar as a venue to help patients and their families choose treatments that they are satisfied with.
