Takeei Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter 'Takeei'), a consolidated subsidiary of our company, has announced that new partners have joined the 'Circular Economy Partnership' established in February 2025 with local governments, companies, and universities. To further expand these efforts, a signing ceremony was held with 14 participating organizations.
As part of the 'Soma Circular Park' concept being promoted in Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture, Takeei established the 'Circular Economy Partnership for Promoting Municipal Waste Recycling Technology' in February 2025, involving municipalities like Soma City and Minamisoma City, 'artery' companies, and Yamagata University. Since its launch, several more companies and organizations have joined. Through this industry-academia-government collaboration, participants bring together their respective strengths, information, and resources to work on developing recycling technologies and verifying schemes for social implementation to solve community waste issues.
On this occasion, the partnership decided to broaden its scope from municipal waste recycling to all types of waste recycling and resource circulation. This move aims to strengthen the response to regional recycling needs and waste management, further promoting the transition to a circular economy. Accordingly, the name has been changed to the 'Circular Economy Partnership for Promoting Waste Recycling and Resource Recovery.' A signing ceremony was held today with 14 organizations, including four newly joined companies.
Moving forward, we continue to welcome the participation of diverse partners and aim to contribute to the realization of a highly sophisticated circular and decarbonized society through the power of 'co-creation.'
