WILLER TRAINS Inc. (Headquarters: Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, President: Toru Iijima), which operates the restaurant train 'Tango Kuromatsu' on the Kyoto Tango Railway (hereinafter referred to as 'Tantetsu'), will operate its 2026 Autumn/Winter courses from October 2026 to March 2027. In anticipation of the service launch, reservations will begin on the Tango Kuromatsu reservation page (https://travel.willer.co.jp/train/tantetsu/) tomorrow, July 2nd (Thu) at 10:00 AM.
We will provide the moving and delicious dining experience unique to the restaurant train 'Tango Kuromatsu,' where you can enjoy the food, culture, and history of Tango with all five senses, along with the ever-changing seasonal scenery.
This season, we have prepared three courses: a morning course where you can luxuriously savor 'Tanba Chestnuts,' a Kyoto brand product; a lunch course featuring a modern arrangement of navy recipes stored in Maizuru; and a dinner course to enjoy the pairing of seasonal local fish and local sake.
The 'Morning Course,' which runs between Fukuchiyama and Amanohashidate, offers a romantic journey through the windows, transitioning from lush green mountains and rice fields to the majestic Sea of Japan. The 'Lunch Course' and 'Local Fish Course,' running between Amanohashidate and Nishi-Maizuru, allow you to slowly admire the Sea of Japan's spectacular views, which change with the seasons, such as the 'Nagu Coast' and the 'Yura River Bridge,' scenic points along the Tantetsu line. Please enjoy a special train journey where you can savor exquisite meals made with autumn and winter flavors and local ingredients unique to the Tango region, along with the rich natural scenery.
