FARMER YOU Connects Sustainable Food and Regional Futures with New Product "Madagascar Vanilla Milk Ice Candy," Donating 15 Yen Per Stick to Madagascar Biodiversity Conservation

FARMER YOU Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Ayumi Tao), which connects sustainable food and regional futures, has launched its new product "MADAGASCAR VANILLA MILK ICE POP" at Little Darling Coffee Roasters in Minami-Aoyama.

This ice candy was developed with a thorough commitment to its ingredients and the passion of its producers, using rare Madagascar vanilla beans and milk from the Yatsugatake region of Yamanashi Prefecture. It is a circular product where 15 yen from the purchase of each ice candy is donated to an international NGO working on biodiversity conservation in Madagascar.

Additionally, the "Ultimate Cream Puff Ice Cream," a summer staple that has been highly popular every year, will also be sequentially rolled out in multiple cities nationwide, including Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.

New Product: MADAGASCAR VANILLA MILK ICE POP

An ice candy made with Madagascar vanilla beans and milk from the Yatsugatake region of Yamanashi Prefecture. It combines the rich aroma of agroforestry vanilla handled by Co・En Corporation LLC with milk nurtured in a pristine environment, creating a gentle flavor. It is a size that is easy for children to eat and can be enjoyed by a wide range of generations.

[Commitment to Manufacturing]

The manufacturing is handled by "Ebisuya," a long-established company that has been making food products with a focus on ingredients in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, since 1949. Using fresh milk from Yatsugatake and beet sugar for a gentle sweetness, it achieves a safe, secure, and luxurious aftertaste.

This summer's popular cream puff ice cream, now in its 6th year, is also on sale nationwide!

At "PUFFZ," an original bake brand developed within the coffee stand "UPLIGHT COFFEE" in Shibuya, Tokyo, the "Madagascar Vanilla Cream Puff Ice Cream," made with the same agroforestry vanilla as the ice candy above, will be sequentially available in multiple cities nationwide, including Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Fukuoka, starting in 2026.

Launched in 2021, this is the 6th year. Enjoy the crispyシュー生地 (choux pastry) unique to "PUFFZ" and the rich aroma woven by Madagascar vanilla.

Donation Connecting Producers and Consumers Through "Deliciousness"

Madagascar is called a "biodiversity hotspot," with 80% to 90% of its living creatures being endemic species found nowhere else. By purchasing this product, 15 yen per stick is donated to the international NGO "MFG," which will be used for conservation activities for endangered species, as well as for operating "Saturday Schools (environmental education)" to foster awareness among local children about protecting their country's nature.

In a food education class conducted by FARMER YOU at a junior high school in Nagoya this March, the following words from local teacher Patrice were conveyed to the Japanese students:

"Madagascar has truly rich biodiversity. However, the people living in Madagascar do not yet fully understand its importance. Therefore, we are teaching children so that they can protect it, even little by little. When children understand its importance, they can convey it to their families and the adults around them."

FARMER YOU continuously makes donations to MFG. The funds collected this year will be used for ecosystem conservation activities, educational support for children, and the reconstruction support of local communities affected by the damage from a massive cyclone that struck the region.

Profile of Representative Member Katsuhisa Taketsue

After completing his master's program, he joined the development department of a pharmaceutical company. He began to feel the irrationality of the world after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and upon his wife's transfer to the UK, he resigned. He studied International Political Economy (Master's program) at Oxford. Believing that corporate behavioral change is important to reduce societal distortions, upon returning to Japan, he dedicated himself to incorporating "environment" into corporate activities as an environmental management consultant. After resigning in 2017, he visited Madagascar on a trip and was captivated by a vanilla plantation that resembled a forest. He is currently passionate about introducing vanilla produced using the power of nature to Japan. In 2020, he established Co・En Corporation LLC and handles the import and sale of vanilla. He visits Madagascar every year to strengthen his bonds with exporters, processors, and producers. He fosters equal relationships through business. Joint projects with the local community are also underway.
