transcosmos Awarded Contract for Tokyo Metropolitan SME Support Project

transcosmos inc. has been awarded a contract by the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center, a policy-linked organization of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, for a project to support price pass-through and wage increases by leveraging startups. While the need to pass on rising labor and raw material costs to prices is increasing, price pass-through in SMEs is not progressing sufficiently. To address this urgent issue, the project utilizes technologies from startups that play a major role in solving social issues through DX. It supports SMEs in understanding their own costs, promotes appropriate price pass-through and wage increases, and boosts the growth of startups. In this project, SMEs will be encouraged to use digital tools provided by startups for cost calculation and labor cost simulation to ensure proper cost management. transcosmos will act as a comprehensive secretariat, providing one-stop support from portal site construction and project promotion to matching SMEs with digital tools tailored to their specific challenges. Amidst the deepening of raw material price hikes and the increasing complexity of the social and business environment, social issues are piling up. In parallel with the increase in social issues, the challenges faced by local governments are also increasing year by year. transcosmos is working to become a social co-creation partner with the purpose of expanding its social impact as a company and maximizing the well-being of society as a whole by addressing such social issues. We will continue to promote local government initiatives through hands-on support and matching support, leveraging our track record and knowledge of technology.
