Background: Increasing Uncertainty in the Foreign Exchange Market
In recent years, the outlook for the foreign exchange market has become increasingly uncertain due to factors such as "changes in interest rate policies of various countries" and "impacts of international affairs."
Since fluctuations in exchange rates directly affect corporate profits, the importance of foreign exchange risk management is increasing, especially for companies that handle foreign currencies.
On the other hand, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises, it is often difficult to establish personnel and systems for specialized foreign exchange market analysis in-house, making foreign exchange risk management a challenge.
In this context, financial institutions are increasingly required to not only provide conventional foreign currency transaction services but also to support corporate clients in managing foreign exchange risks.
Support by "TRADOM for Mizuho"
Against this background, Mizuho Bank and the Company have collaborated to launch "TRADOM for Mizuho," a new service to support the sophistication of corporate foreign exchange risk management.
This service provides a "Foreign Currency Transaction Management Function" that allows efficient input and management of complex foreign currency receipt and payment information, and visualizes the status of foreign exchange hedging against it. This enables companies to centrally grasp their foreign currency transactions and foreign exchange hedging status.
In addition, by utilizing analytical information on the foreign exchange market based on AI predictions developed by the Company, we provide an environment for companies to consider their responses to foreign exchange risks.
Mizuho Bank will further support corporate clients' foreign exchange risk management and stable business operations.
