ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort (Onna Village, Okinawa Prefecture; General Manager: Russell Shepherd) is pleased to announce the "Okinawa BENIIMO Afternoon Tea," a collaborative project celebrating the 40th anniversary of the birth of Okinawa's representative famous confection, "Ganso Beniimo Tart," produced by Confectionery Goods Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Yomitan Village, Okinawa Prefecture). This special offering will be available for a limited time starting July 1, 2026 (Wed).
"Ganso Beniimo Tart," a beloved souvenir staple throughout Japan, is made with vibrant purple sweet potatoes cultivated in Okinawa's climate, and has been cherished by many for its gentle sweetness and moist texture. To commemorate this 40th anniversary milestone, Confectionery Goods and the resort's chef team have joined forces to create a special afternoon tea packed with the charm of Okinawa.
This afternoon tea incorporates Confectionery Goods' products, including "Ganso Beniimo Tart," into every menu item, with hotel chefs reinterpreting them into both sweets and savory dishes. In addition to sweets that highlight the natural sweetness of purple sweet potato, we will offer creative dishes that bring out new flavors by combining Okinawan ingredients such as brown sugar and tropical fruits. We have transformed the familiar taste of a souvenir into a "dish that can only be experienced here," to be enjoyed in the extraordinary setting of a resort hotel.
