At Ichihatasan Yakushiji, the 'Amulet-Making Experience,' which began at the Nagoya Branch in December 2025, has received an enormous response, with over 1,200 amulets distributed in less than a month. Following this tremendous popularity at the Nagoya Branch, we are officially starting the experience at the Okazaki Main Hall as well, from Friday, April 24, 2026.

What is the Amulet-Making Experience?

The amulet-making experience started in December 2025 at the Ichihatasan Yakushiji Nagoya Branch. You can freely choose the pattern of the amulet pouch, the color of the braided cord, and the design of the paper on which you write your wish, allowing you to create 'the only amulet in the world' imbued with your own wish.

Freely Choose the Design

You can freely choose the designs and colors of the 'amulet pouch', 'braided cord', and the 'wish paper' where you write your wish. There are over 3,000 possible combinations. You can create your very own amulet that will never be the same as anyone else's.

Easy for Anyone to Make

It is easy to make. Since it can be easily created by following a manual, anyone from children to adults can participate.

A Time to Face Your Wishes in a Solemn Space

Creating it in the special space of a temple creates time for you to face your own wishes. Furthermore, by passing the amulet through the smoke of the incense burner at the end and praying, you can imbue the amulet with a strong wish.

You can participate at either the Okazaki or Nagoya temple according to your convenience.

About Ichihatasan Yakushiji

Ichihatasan Yakushiji (Location: Fujikawa-cho, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture) is a temple belonging to the Myoshinji school of the Rinzai sect, widely known for prayers for warding off evil, purifying cars, and healing illnesses. With 'Ichihata Yakushi Rurikonyorai' enshrined as the principal image, it has been beloved by local people since ancient times. It also has a 'Nagoya Branch' located in Haruoka, Chikusa-ku, Nagoya City, as its place of origin.

As a temple that puts the teachings of Yakushi Nyorai into practice, we actively engage in social contribution activities such as supporting disaster-stricken areas and distributing local products for community support.
