Ichibatasan Yakushiji will begin distributing its April-limited 'Gold Foil Stamped Goshuin' on April 1, 2026. This is a limited Goshuin that is distributed on a monthly rotating basis. The design has been renewed starting in 2026, featuring a gorgeous, three-dimensional motif with gold foil stamping applied to the center.
Every month, we will distribute two types of Goshuin: the **Taisai (Grand Festival) Goshuin**, inspired by the seasonal festivals held at Ichibatasan Yakushiji, and the **Twelve Heavenly Generals Goshuin**, representing the deities who protect those who come to worship Yakushi Nyorai (Medicine Buddha).
Taisai Goshuin 'Oyakushi-sama'
The 'Safe Growth Prayer Festival' prays for a lifetime of growth. This Goshuin depicts the first head priest, 'Oyakushi-sama,' who has led many people to happiness through the salvation of sentient beings.
Twelve Heavenly Generals Goshuin 'Intara Taisho'
With Jizo Bosatsu (Ksitigarbha) as its original Buddhist manifestation, this deity grants blessings of hardship removal, protection of miscarried children (Mizuko), and winning luck. The treasure arrow (Hosen) that takes aim has the power to strike a good match and enhance personal virtue. It features a snake, which is the Chinese zodiac animal associated with Intara Taisho, the guardian of April.
Distribution Locations
In addition to the Okazaki Main Hall and the Nagoya Branch, starting in 2026, limited Goshuin can also be requested at our Online Branch, allowing those with mobility issues or living far away to collect them as well.
