After returning to Japan, she worked at a French restaurant for about 15 years before becoming a housekeeper after giving birth. Leveraging her experience as a chef, she gained attention for her skill in using ingredients from the refrigerator to prepare make-ahead dishes tailored to family composition and preferences in a limited time. She is now active on TV and in books as a culinary professional specializing in home cooking based on French cuisine. This first-ever event in Hiroshima will feature a lecture on the theme of "How to Enjoy Meals with Family," covering topics such as the French approach to dining and family time, as well as tips for making cooking more delicious with small efforts. Before the lecture, a special one-day-only course meal will be prepared, arranged by the hotel's Executive Chef Matsuo based on Tasan Shima's recipes.
