The Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF), chaired by Akio Toyoda, in collaboration with the University of Tokyo's One Earth Guardians Program (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo), has announced the recruitment for the 5th cohort of 'Good Life on Earth,' an idea realization support program for high school, technical college, and first/second-year university students.

We are looking for individuals who have ideas to achieve a 'Good Life' on this planet and connect to its future, starting from something they are passionate about. After a selection process, successful applicants will refine their ideas through mentoring from University of Tokyo professors and others, and then proceed to research and development. In principle, the program will support the costs associated with these activities.

Since its launch in 2022, the program currently has 29 selected 'players' actively engaged. Through advice from leading researchers who serve as mentors and opportunities for interaction with like-minded peers, participants have been able to further expand on their passions and move closer to realizing their ideas for a Good Life. In fiscal 2026, we aim to form and expand a community that continues to take on challenges to pursue their 'passions' together by adding passionate high school, technical college, and university students.

Participants pursue their respective 'passions' such as fashion, food, sound, design, seaweed, insects, and enzymes.

University of Tokyo professors provide mentoring, and support staff accompany the activities.
