This project is Toyota Tsusho's first renewable energy business in Tunisia and AEOLUS's first investment. The two solar power plants, constructed in the Sidi Bouzid and Tozeur governorates of Tunisia through a project company jointly invested by AEOLUS and Scatec ASA (a Norwegian company specializing in the construction and operation of solar power plants), have now been completed. "Sidi Bouzid Mezzouna PV Power" (50MW) commenced commercial operation on January 1, 2026, and "Tozeur PV Power" (50MW) commenced commercial operation on March 4, 2026.
Going forward, the power equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 120,000 Tunisian households will be sold to the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company for 30 years, along with a maximum CO2 reduction effect of approximately 108,000 tons.
