TOYO Employee Receives FY2025 SCEJ Award for Outstanding Women’s Activity

Jin Sha of Toyo Engineering Corporation (President and CEO: Eiji Hosoi, hereafter Toyo-Japan) has been awarded the 'Women's Award' at the 2025 Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan (SCEJ) Awards. The award is given to individuals who have made outstanding achievements or research regarding technology in chemical engineering or chemical-related industries, and who have contributed to the development of systems and environments for the promotion of gender equality. This is the first time an employee of our company has received this award. The award winner, Jin Sha, was appointed as Toyo-Japan's first female Project Engineering Manager in 2009, and has since held key positions such as Project Manager in multiple overseas plant construction projects. Furthermore, through activities such as developing a body of knowledge on project management, establishing human resource development programs, and supporting design quality improvement, she has devoted many years to training the next generation of project managers across the entire group, including overseas bases. In addition to her success as a role model for female engineers, these efforts in human resource development were highly evaluated, leading to this award. TOYO promotes the creation of an environment where diverse people can work vigorously, regardless of gender, age, or nationality. We believe that this award will encourage further progress in promoting diversity not only within TOYO but throughout the entire chemical-related industry.
